Today’s Fynbos Feature is the Erica genus. 🌿
Did you know Erica's are one of the most diverse groups within South African Fynbos, with over 700 species ranging from tiny ground-hugging shrubs to tall, architectural forms? Their flowers vary from soft bell-shaped clusters to bold tubular blooms, often in shades of pink, coral, red, white and even deep plum. 💐
Many Erica species thrive in nutrient-poor, sandy soils and are perfectly adapted to the Cape’s unique climate. This is why they bring such remarkable texture, resilience and character to floral design. 💫
A little more about the Fynbos behind the flowers we bring to the UK.
