Major changes are coming to UK border operations! From early 2027, customs checks at the Sevington Inland Border Facility will move to port-managed infrastructure for Dover and Eurotunnel (shifting to Folkestone Services for Eurotunnel traffic), while Holyhead customs will move into the port.

Please note that nothing changes immediately, and existing processes remain in force until official transition dates are confirmed. SPS checks will also continue at Sevington for now.

Important update for cross-border logistics: HM Government has announced that Sevington IBF will cease its Transit services in early 2027, with operational Transit and Customs functions transferring to MOTIS at Folkestone and Dover.
