That's season two !!! 💨💨💨

We gave it everything this year to find out what works. a much bigger timetable, most of it returns so you could come and go as you pleased. you came.

We also ran a first pilot route between Fécamp and Shoreham. five crossings, nearly every seat taken, and every mile of it under sail ⛵️

None of that happens without you. you chose to cross under sail. you wheeled your bikes aboard, pulled on a rope when we asked, took the helm when we offered, and shared a boat with eleven strangers for a few hours. some of you came back for more. and on the days the sea said no, you understood. thank you 🙏🙏

and to the crew, on board for every single crossing, in every kind of weather, you carried this season 🫶

Huge thanks to Proqua , Hôtel Restaurant Monsieur Georges , La Matelote, Hôtel - Restaurant , Ship Coffee, Burö für Mobilität, F2 ECO , Pas-de-Calais Tourisme , Ifremer Le Boulonnais - Côte d'Opale, Port Boulogne Calais and Port of Dover for backing us this season. And to the Police aux Frontières and UK Border Force, who clear us in and out on both sides 🇬🇧🇫🇷

we still can't quite believe it 🥹🥹

we're still just three people, driven by one stubborn belief: that crossing the sea can feel human again. not queuing for hours. something you'd actually want to remember

and then you did!

you said yes before there was any proof. some of you had dreamed of sailing your whole lives and never had the chance. some came for the adventure, some to reach family on the other side, nearly all with a bike and all with an open heart

our very first crossing was a rough one, and some passengers who lived it told us the roughness made it better (but stomach has been challenged for some also!) : the spray, the sheer power of the wind and of human ingenuity. other days the sea lay flat and golden and someone wrote back "it was absolutely perfect" but what stayed with everyone was never the crossing itself. it was the strangers who became friends over a few hours on the water, the laughter on the nets, Michel talking about extraordinary things in the most modest way, the Channel turning into the best part of the whole trip

that is what we'll carry: not the miles or the hours, but the faces. the strangers who became a crew and gave themselves a name!!

none of this exists without a lot of hands and a lot of faith. to Michel, Andrew, Stephanie, Diana and everyone who sailed Mer Agitée. to the ports Shoreham Port, Syndicat Mixte des Ports de Seine-Maritime and people on both coasts who opened the water for us and above all, to every one of you who showed up !! 🥳🫂

this September you took it somewhere wilder than anything we'd done. all five crossings, one hundred percent under sail, not a drop of engine. you didn't just cross the Channel. you showed how much further this idea can still go ⛵️

Spotted yesterday morning leaving the harbour was Mer Agitée.

The vessel is currently conducting a trail period of ferrying passengers between Shoreham Port and Fécamp, France.

Powered by sail, the SailLink journey has been taking just over 6 hours. They'll be returning tomorrow evening and then departing for the last trial sailing on Sunday morning.

meet Rogier and his crew! five of them, over from the Netherlands for this crossing. five bikes, none of them matching. a folding bike, a rusty steel frame, a city hire bike, a racer, a town bike that half works. because the bike is never the point. having one with you is

here's the thing. their return leg was already cancelled before they even left. Strong winds forecast for monday, and when the wind says no, we don't go. Rogier knew. they came anyway, a ferry home as backup. not the way they wanted to get back, but the only option left

They left Boulogne in pouring rain and arrived in Dover under full sun. we had asked them to be ready an hour earlier than planned. they were, bikes and all, smiles on, on time

We've been in touch with Rogier and the group all the way through, and honestly it's people like them who make a crossing what it is. a cancelled return, a rain-soaked start, an early call, and not once did the mood drop

that's the trip! that's Rogier and his crew 🫡

NO WAY. YOU MADE IT 😭😭

sold out. every single seat, gone. we are genuinely sitting here in disbelief

Seven days, five crossings, sixty seats between Shoreham and Fécamp. and real talk, when we opened the Sussex Normandy pilot we had NO idea if anyone would come. then you did. all of you. we can't stop reading the names!!

and none of this would exist without the people who did everything, from the very first day, to make this pilot possible: Shoreham Port , the Syndicat Mixte des Ports de Seine-Maritime, the Département de Seine-Maritime, and the border teams on both sides, PAF and Border Force. thank you, from the bottom of our hearts 🙏

and to every single one of you who booked a seat: you didn't just buy a ticket. you stood up and said out loud that you want this to be our future, our reality of tomorrow, together. a human adventure, from the very beginning

because this is so much bigger than a crossing. it's for our kids. for the world we hand them. for the way we'll travel tomorrow. more adventure, more meaning, more real moments. less, but better

we're a little teary writing this, not gonna lie. this is the thing we dreamed about, and YOU made it real. actual humans, together 🫂

and this is only the beginning?

next stop, Shoreham to Fécamp in September. let's go!! 🇬🇧🇫🇷
