š STANDING TOGETHER FOR OUR HAULAGE INDUSTRY š
The road ahead is becoming increasingly difficult for hauliers across the UK.
Rising fuel prices, increasing operating costs, vehicle maintenance, wages and the many other expenses involved in running a transport business are putting enormous pressure on an industry that keeps this country moving.
Sadly, we are seeing fellow hauliers forced to make the heartbreaking decision to close their doors, with some businesses going into administration and others having no option but to walk away from the companies they have worked so hard to build.
Behind every transport business are families, dedicated drivers, hardworking staff and years of investment, commitment and sacrifice. These are not just businesses on a balance sheet; they are livelihoods, legacies and often family-run operations built over generations.
We know first-hand the challenges involved in running a haulage business. We have enormous respect for everyone in this industry who continues to get behind the wheel and keep goods moving, often in incredibly challenging circumstances.
No matter how much competition there may be on the road, we are all part of the same industry. When one haulier struggles, we should all take notice.
We stand in solidarity with our fellow hauliers who are facing these difficult times, and with those who have sadly had to make the decision to close their businesses.
The UK depends on road transport every single day. Our industry deserves to be valued, supported and given a fair opportunity to remain sustainable.
Hereās hoping for better times ahead for everyone in haulage. š¤
