On the eve of the opening Ashes test, 100 Kent schoolchildren will battle for their own taste of cricket glory at Cobham Hall – the original home of the Ashes urn.

Thursday 15th June will see nine Kent schools take part in a Kwik Cricket tournament in the grounds of Cobham Hall, which was once home to English cricket team captain Ivo Bligh. It was to Bligh that the now iconic trophy was first presented in Australia in 1882, and to Cobham Hall that he brought it back, where it sat proudly on the mantelpiece for many years.

Family Fun Day

Do you have a brave Teddy Bear in the family? Now is the chance to see them parachute a full 100 FEET either from a Tayside Fire Truck or directly from Mains Castle on 18th AUGUST! Parachutes and Teddys can be purchased on the day and each Teddy will receive full training. Register your Teddy for sponsorship and help the Rotary Club of Dundee raise much-needed funds for the vulnerable and disadvantaged children of Zimbabwe. With Kids’ Rides, Bouncy Castles, Craft Stalls and all the fun of the fair, this promises to be a great day out for all the family.
