Today is a true landmark occasion for all at Nelsons of Durham, especially for sole founder & owner Mr. G. Nelson. Not many can say they have achieved what this man has!

Today marks the 50 year anniversary of Nelsons of Durham being in business. Starting in 1973, this family run business has gone from strength to strength over the years and continues to do so, due to the continuous hard work Mr Nelson, his wife and his team put in everyday.

We would like to thank our loyal customers (many of them returning!) for their support and custom.

*CUSTOMER NOTICE*

Our thoughts and prays go out to the Royal Family in this period of mourning. We say an incredibly sad goodbye to an amazing woman who has lead this country for over 70 years.

With the announcement that Monday 19th September will be a national bank holiday due to the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we'll be observing the bank holiday so our team have the opportunity to pay their respects.

Our office will not be open on Monday and we not be carrying out any removals but we will resume as normal from Tuesday 20th September.

*CUSTOMER NOTICE*

After a lot of careful consideration & liaising with our governing bodies, we have decided to resume our usual removal & storage services on MONDAY 18TH MAY.

We would like to to reassure our customers that social distancing measures will be vigilantly adhered to by all staff, at all times. PPE will be worn by all staff & changed whenever they entering a new environment to minimize risk. Our sole objective is to keep everyone safe whilst carrying out our services.

For our customers peace of mind we will risk assess each individual job in order to minimise our staffs contact with their belongings. All appropriate measures will be discussed with each customer when they enquire about/book a job with us.

Customers who are needing to move or those who need to re-book their move can call us on 0191 386 7332 to discuss. We encourage any customers with questions or queries regarding how we will operate & the policies we have put in place to contact us to discuss.

Again, we would like to thank our customers for their continued support in these strange times & reassure you that we are taking every precaution to keep our customers & staff safe whilst operating.

We regret to inform our customers that we have been advised by our governing body not to carry out any further removals after today. This is an unprecedented situation, beyond our control. We can do nothing but comply with government advice to keep our employees and customers safe.

We hope to be able to take bookings from 14th April, providing the Government do not extend the confinement period.
