From everyone at B M Stafford & Sons Ltd, we want to say a massive CONGRATULATIONS to Mark and Jamie on successfully completing the incredible Across the Rift Valley Cycling Challenge in Kenya! πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

Six days of gruelling cycling, relentless climbs, scorching temperatures, aching legs and sheer determination have finally brought them to the finish line at Lake Victoria! 🏁🌍

This was never going to be an easy challenge, but what an achievement it has been! πŸ’ͺ🏻

Taking on such an enormous physical and mental challenge is impressive enough, but doing it to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK, in memory of loved ones lost to cancer, makes it even more special. β€οΈπŸŽ—οΈ

We have followed their journey with immense pride, from the breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife to the punishing climbs and moments when determination was everything.

You have both shown incredible strength, resilience and commitment, and we couldn’t be prouder of you! 🫢🏻

A huge thank you also goes to everyone who has sponsored, donated and supported them along the way. Your generosity and encouragement have helped make this amazing journey possible.

Working in transport and logistics can be demanding. From long days out on the road to the pressures of keeping operations running smoothly, it's an industry where everyone has their own challenges to face.

At BM Stafford, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and looking after one another is just as important as the work we carry out every day.

Whether it's checking in with a colleague, taking five minutes for a chat or simply being there to listen, sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.

Today, we're reminding everyone across our industry that it's okay to speak up, it's okay to ask for support and nobody should feel they have to face things alone.

πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ KENYA CHALLENGE HIGHLIGHTS! πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈβ€οΈ

What an incredible couple of days for Mark and Jamie as they continue their Cycle Kenya – Great Rift Valley Challenge, raising money for Cancer Research UK! ❀️

The last two days have seen the lads tackle a staggering 156km of cycling and over 2,000m of climbing, battling the blazing Kenyan heat, challenging mountain roads and some seriously tired legs! πŸ₯΅β›°οΈ

From breathtaking descents reaching speeds of over 45mph, to crossing the Equator and taking in the spectacular scenery of the Great Rift Valley, it’s certainly been an experience they’ll never forget! πŸŒπŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ

But the biggest test was still to come… a monster 28km uphill climb! 😳

Mark absolutely smashed it, completing the entire climb in an incredible display of determination and endurance! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Jamie also gave it everything he had, tackling the toughest sections before running out of time. An amazing effort and proof that this challenge is about pushing yourself beyond your limits, not just crossing the finish line! ❀️

The lads are exhausted, the legs are aching, but the determination is stronger than ever!

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, sponsored and supported them along the way. Every bit of encouragement means so much and helps them keep pushing forward for such a worthwhile cause.

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ KENYA CHALLENGE – WHAT A JOURNEY SO FAR!

It’s safe to say Mark and Jamie have already packed a lot into their cycling challenge across Kenya – and they’ve certainly earned every mile! πŸ˜…
From a gruelling first day covering 72km with 3,000ft of climbing, to taking on an incredible 90km in a single day, the challenge has been every bit as tough as expected.
They’ve cycled through the spectacular Great Rift Valley, crossed the Equator twice, tackled relentless hills, long days in the saddle and even managed to narrowly beat a thunderstorm! β›ˆοΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ
And when they’ve had chance to look up from the road, the views haven’t disappointed either… with rhinos, giraffes, zebras, antelope and wildebeest all making an appearance along the way. πŸ¦πŸ¦’πŸ¦“
It’s a huge physical challenge, well outside their comfort zones, but every difficult climb and aching leg is for an incredibly important reason – raising money for Cancer Research UK. ❀️
We’re incredibly proud of Mark and Jamie and everything they’ve achieved so far.
