We’re a specialist transport company – we specialise in lifting and shifting, but we also have a fair fleet of general haulage vehicles. We’ve always done much of the training of
our own drivers and staff ourselves. We’ve always had a high regard for safety and training – it’s a core principal of our business. Quite simply, we couldn’t have survived and grown without being safe and professional, or without providing a high standard of training to our employees – the ambassadors of our business. So, it makes sense to offer the quality of training we’ve always provided to our own employees to anyone that wants it for themselves or their drivers to meet the Driver CPC requirements. We’re fully registered with the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training at each of our sites, and we have OCR, SQA and ALLMI approval and are a CSCS Health and Safety test facility. David Watson Transport is now an approved training provider for the MOD's Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) scheme. The ELC scheme for the armed forces provides grants towards training. The value of the grant is 80% of the training cost.
