💕Happy Valentine’s Day💕

Wishing I was with my Valentine today, but at least we can look back at all our fun memories even when we’re 4,474 miles apart🥰

These are from our visit to the Edinburgh Christmas markets back in December! We rode the ferris wheel & had a silly goofy time🤪 definitely recommend

Who else has a long distance valentine today?🥹 sending you love!!🫶🏻

🎶Baby you ✨light✨ up my world like nobody else

(Please laugh, I think I’m funny🤣)

One of the main attractions on Key Biscayne is the famous lighthouse at the tip of Bill Baggs State Park. The lighthouse is currently closed for renovations, but you can usually go inside as well. The design of the glass at the top was so unique compared to other lighthouses I’ve seen & I loved it!

You can hang out on the beach right next to it and soak in the views. Definitely worth the visit!🩵

Do you prefer relaxing on the beach or exploring outside?🏖️🥾

☀️day vs night🌛

Miami looks good both ways😏
I could NOT get enough of the stunning city view from our hotel rooftop in Brickell! We stayed at , which is our absolute favorite hotel chain. It’s modern & fun & technology advanced AND it’s affordable! Highly recommend.

The Brickell hotel was also right next to a People Mover station, which is a free (that’s right, FREE!) above-ground metro that runs a loop through downtown Miami & the Brickell city center. It was very convenient for getting into downtown without sitting in traffic or paying for an Uber.

I also highly recommend staying in downtown Brickell if you’re coming to Miami. It was very lively and ended up being a good location for all our activities. It’s a bit pricey, but so is the rest of Miami!

Some more photos from the 2-day preview sailing aboard the new Seven Seas Grandeur🌊

If you didn’t know already, for my 9-5, I work as a travel agent specializing in luxury cruises!🛳️ I’ve been in the industry for 2 years now (at the end of this month!), and I love it so much. Considering I’d never even been on a cruise when I got the job, I’ve learned so much in the last 2 years, and I continue to grow and evolve in the industry.

You may have noticed that my regular travel style is certainly NOT luxury (more like hostels & street food🤣), but I sure do enjoy the luxury when I step aboard 😉

Christmas at The Dome✨🥂

The Dome is arguably the most popular Christmas activity in Edinburgh (& I’m sure you can see why!) The striking columns wrapped with brightly lit garland will draw anyone in for a photo op, but the real treasure lies inside. A massive 26ft tall Christmas tree towers over the main dining room from atop the center bar.

You’ll need reservations for dinner to enter the main dining room, but you can walk-in for drinks in one of The Dome’s other bars and pop in for a quick picture of the tree.

They have festive, reasonably-priced drink selections, and a special holiday menu if you’d like to dine inside. Beware that the line to get in for drinks can get quite long, so come early! It moves fairly quickly.😊

Be sure to add this to your list for your Edinburgh Christmas trip!🥂🎄

It’s officially my favorite time of year…Christmas market season! Towns all over Europe have opened their Christmas markets, and people are flocking from near and far to visit these magical, festive destinations. At the top of my list of favorite Christmas markets is Prague. I visited in 2022 as the first stop on my Christmas market trip and fell instantly in love (with the city and the cute Scottish boy I met there LOL)....

Plan the perfect winter getaway with this 3-day Prague Christmas itinerary. Grab some mulled wine and enjoy the lights and sights!

1 year with my favorite travel buddy🥰✈️

Last year while I was in Prague for my big solo birthday trip, I unexpectedly met Johnny on my 2nd night. I was, of course, intrigued by his adorable Scottish accent, and he though my Texan “y’all” was hilarious🤣

Needless to say, we hit it off right away and, like straight out of a Hallmark movie, he scrapped his plans to return home 2 days later and instead came along with me for the rest of my trip. We spent both of our birthdays together, so now our anniversary and birthdays are all 2 days apart! I’d call that a sign😉

I can’t tag him since he doesn’t have instagram, but I just wanted to make this sappy appreciation/throwback post to celebrate the day that all my friends and family doubted would come😅

Long distance is crazy and complicated and lonely at times, but I’d say we’re doing alright😌🫶🏻

Where are my fellow long distance guys and girlies?🥺⬇️

On this day 1 year ago…🎄

Feeling extra nostalgic thinking back about how excited I was for this trip and how I had absolutely no idea just how special of a trip it would turn out to be🥹❤️

So many obstacles stood in the way of making this trip happen, and I actually went into it super nervous to be going solo since it didn’t work out getting friends to join. Little did I know that would be the biggest blessing in disguise.

If you’re scared to take that first solo trip, I’m here to tell you to DO IT!! It will be okay. Better than okay, even. It’s okay to be scared, but do it scared. You won’t regret it, I promise.🫶🏻

Drop your advice for first time solo travelers below!!⬇️

5️⃣ reasons to visit Venice in the fall🍂

1. Fewer crowds🚶🏻‍♂️ - don’t get me wrong, Venice is always crowded, but it’s much LESS crowded during off season. It will be much more enjoyable to not have to shove past people or wait in long queues.

2. Fall colors😍🍂 the vines are turning lovely fall colors, which instantly elevates your photo game

3. Cheaper accommodation🤑- it’s no secret that off season has cheaper prices for accommodation. In an expensive city like Venice, take advantage of these savings!

4. Acqua Alta🌊 - Venice’s high water season, Acqua Alta usually occurs around November, and, while the flooding may seem like an inconvenience, it is actually really cool to experience. Just come prepared!

5. Cooler weather🌬️ - the weather in the fall in Venice is ✨sublime✨ and perfect for long days of sightseeing without getting too hot or freezing cold. Pack a raincoat though because fall can be a rainy season!🌧️

Also, if you’re looking for a place to stay in Venice that will make your visit extra special, check out !! It’s located in a quiet yet central part of the city, and I promise Salvatore and his team will take great care of you🤗 (not sponsored, they’re just awesome!)
