On the occasion of our first annual Open Studio event in association with , we are hosting a reception and we’d be delighted if you can join us to celebrate our designer-makers, tour the studios and visit the pop-up gallery of our latest work.

Unit 5 & Unit 8 are home to highly skilled and cross disciplinary designer-makers from backgrounds in architecture, design, sculpture and fine furniture making. Our in-house, bespoke services - from design to installation - span contract to domestic interiors, architectural cabinetry, free-standing furniture and accessories. All built within our state-of-the-art workshops, with enduring craftsmanship and attention to detail.

I’ll not be in for the Friday afternoon session, but will be round all day on Saturday.

Chest of drawers in birch ply and oak veneered birch ply.
The clients for this piece designed it to fit perfectly into their Edinburgh colony house where nothing off the shelf would quite work. We developed the details together and (only just) managed to get it through their house to its final resting place yesterday morning.

A kitchen for a central Edinburgh flat finished at the end of last year. Verde Comodoro Fenix, birch ply, oak and Luna Sand Hi-Macs.
It was a pleasure developing the handle detail with the clients which, in turn, lead the way for the detailing of the whole kitchen.

A combined bed, wardrobe, drawers and workspace in Portobello for
The jewellery studio can be opened up to the room during working hours and closed away from sight and mind at the end of the day.
The staircase up to the bed contains a chest, cubby holes and drawers and a 1.2m hanging rail pulls out from below the bed.
Plenty of puzzles to enjoy solving on this job!
