Welcoming Our 2026 Apprentices

Yesterday, we welcomed 9 new General Apprentices to Pendennis, with a further apprentice joining the same General Apprenticeship Scheme at Cockwells in Mylor. This milestone marks more than 400 apprentice starts since our apprenticeship scheme was established in 1998.

It’s the start of an exciting new chapter for all of them, as they begin their careers, develop new skills and gain hands-on experience within the marine industry.

We’re pleased to welcome them to the Pendennis Group and look forward to seeing them grow and develop throughout their apprenticeships.

Engineered for Every Ocean

From the glaciers of Alaska to the lagoons of French Polynesia, the Galápagos Islands and the Mediterranean, Catalina has spent the years since leaving Pendennis in 2018 doing what she was built for: exploring the world.

To prepare her for unrestricted global cruising, Pendennis carried out a comprehensive refit, including a new teak deck, upgraded hydraulic systems, major technical enhancements and countless refinements throughout the yacht.

As Catalina's Captain explains: "We came to Pendennis initially for their extensive hydraulic expertise. Now, they know the boat inside out. When you've got that history and knowledge, it makes a huge difference. You can pick up the phone and get help from people who understand the yacht. It's reassuring to know we have this support wherever we are in the world."

More than 120,000 nautical miles and 26 countries later, Catalina continues to demonstrate the lasting value of expert refit, preventative maintenance and ongoing technical support. With continued support from our teams in Falmouth and Pendennis Vilanova, she continues to perform at the highest level, wherever her adventures take her.

As Catalina marks 10 years with her current owner, she stands as proof that a yacht can be far more than a luxury asset – it can be a gateway to the world. After travelling the equivalent of four circumnavigations of the globe, with countless adventures forged along the way, the past decade has exceeded every expectation.

Purpose-Built for Seamless Operations ⚓

Designed to support every stage of a yacht's build, our 150m covered dry dock provides the controlled environment needed for construction, outfitting and launch preparation.

What makes it unique? It can be divided into two independent 75m sections, allowing one yacht to be floated out for launch while work continues uninterrupted on another project in the inner dock. It's a smarter way to maximise efficiency while keeping every project on schedule.

Sometimes, the best new yacht isn't new at all.

At Pendennis, transformative refits breathe new life into exceptional yachts through ambitious structural modifications, major rebuilds and bespoke redesigns, allowing yacht owners to reimagine their yacht.

From the three-deck extension of A2 and the dramatic stern remodelling of Audacia, to the more recent award-winning transformation of Solace, each project proves that innovation and craftsmanship can redefine what's possible - while preserving the pedigree that makes every yacht unique.
