We have had a very busy start to the season.
A mix of servicing and general maintenance to prepare for the season ahead and repairs to get our customers back on the water as soon as possible.

Recently we have been unable to take on new clients due to being at capacity. We now have some availability coming up so if you need any help get in touch.

We are honored to be featured in this months edition of All At Sea for our ongoing refit of the iconic Swan 38 yacht.

Working closely with our associates at PSA Prime Marine Ltd this project represents a blend of craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation, and we are proud to breathe new life into such a celebrated vessel.

We have been very busy doing all of the behind the scenes work to make sure our customers are ready to go for the upcoming season.

We conduct Outboard servicing and repairs in the Solent area. We can offer a fully mobile service along with the usual drop off and collect service.
It’s really important to stay on top of your Outboard maintenance to keep the engine running reliably. Regular maintenance will also prolong the life of your Outboard and avoid you costly repairs and even replacement.

Salt water is a killer of Outboards if not flushed from the cooling system regularly. Both salt and fresh water can severely damage your Outboard if not correctly drained from the engine during the cold months. Water expands when it freezes and if it has nowhere to go it can crack the engine block.

It’s that time of year again!
As the days get shorter and the sailing season draws to an end, it’s time to start making plans for winter maintenance.

HD Marine Services is taking bookings for winter jobs so if you need help get in touch to secure your spot.

Below are a few jobs we suggest you consider getting done over the winter to ensure a safe and stress free season next year.

Lift out and inspection of everything under the waterline.

Engine and generator servicing.

Seacock and through hull fitting servicing or replacement.

Anode replacement.

Cutlass bearing replacement.

Rudder bearing replacement.

Antifouling.

Winch and deck gear servicing.

Rig checks.

Fuel and fresh water treatment.

Outboard engine servicing/ winterisation.

We have been busy with winter maintenance to ensure our customers can make the most of the sailing season.

Alongside the usual servicing and repairs, below are a few examples of the sort of jobs we carry out over the winter period.

We have been busy moving customers boats for them ready for their winter maintenance.

We provide call out and towing services in the Solent area, so if your boat is stuck on a mooring or river pontoon as it has mechanical issues, we can help get it moving again.

We have also been out checking on customers boats. Bailing water, running systems, removing sails and checking mooring lines and fenders.

Another busy week done.
We have been sinking our teeth into the first of our winter maintenance jobs this week.
We have also been carrying out general repairs and servicing as usual.

The diary is filling up nicely but we still have availability for winter work.
