Sunshine, good w**e and a cheeky 70.3 or two… May 2027 is looking alright already 💛

We’ve got two brilliant race weekends on the books:

8 May
IRONMAN 70.3 Alcudia-Mallorca 🇪🇸

30 May
IRONMAN 70.3 Alghero 🇮🇹

Bike transport is live now for both at £375 return, so if Mallorca or Sardinia is already calling, you can get that side of the trip sorted nice and early.

We’ll arrange collection from a convenient collection point, transport your pride and joy securely in our bespoke system, have it ready for you at race week and take care of the journey home afterwards.

Two islands, two cracking races and a very decent excuse to spend part of May somewhere sunnier.

May 2027. Where are you heading? 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This one means a lot 💛

We’ve always said Velo Yelo is about more than simply getting a bike from A to B, so seeing a customer describe the service as “wrap around care of your precious bike” is about as good a compliment as we could ask for.

From collecting the bike at home and taking a bag of gear along too, to meeting close to the race venue, helping where we can and making sure there’s no rush getting the bike back to us afterwards, it’s the little things around the transport that can make race week feel that bit easier.

And yes, if Andrew gets the chance to get out on the course and cheer a few of you on, you can definitely count on that too! 🙌

Their words:

“This is not just getting items from A to B and back again. This is wrap around care of your precious bike - lifting it from home (plus a bag of gear to lighten the load), meeting you in a suitable point close to race venue, giving you any extra help they can, waiting to get your bike after the race without any pressure of time and all with a smile. Andrew was even out on the course supporting. He clearly cares about his customers and is prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that all they have to do is turn up and ride. It’s well worth every penny. Highly recommend!!”

Thank you for the brilliant review, and more importantly, for trusting us with something that matters so much to you.

That’s exactly the kind of service we want Velo Yelo to be known for 💛

Barcelona crew, this is absolutely not the update any of us wanted to be sharing.

Following official confirmation, tomorrow’s IRONMAN Calella-Barcelona has been cancelled due to the severe weather forecast and the emergency measures in place across the area.

We know how much has gone into getting to this weekend. Months of training, travel, planning and sacrifice, only to have something completely outside anyone’s control bring things to a stop this close to race morning. There’ll be a lot of gutted athletes in Calella tonight, and understandably so.

As disappointing as it is, with the conditions being forecast and restrictions now in place, everyone getting through the weekend safely has to be the priority.

To all of our Velo Yelo triathletes in Barcelona, the VY team are on hand and ready to help get bikes returned as soon as it is safe to do so.

We are aware that any bikes not collected tonight will be stored safely overnight, and the Athletes’ Garden is due to reopen from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday. With that in mind, the VY team will plan to be available from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday to help with bike returns.

Look after yourselves, keep an eye on the official updates and please don’t take any unnecessary chances with the weather.

Not the ending anyone came for, but we’re with you lot 💛

Wow team, we are absolutely blown away by the support and bookings already coming in for the 2027 season 💛

After announcing that we’ve got 22 events live for next year, the last couple of days alone brought in 132 orders from triathletes right across Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.

We knew a fair few of you were already thinking ahead to next season, but 132 bookings in the first couple of days? Honestly, our flabbers have been well and truly ghasted 😂

A massive thank you to every single person who has booked with us, messaged, shared the news or trusted Velo Yelo with their pride and joy for another big race next year. Seeing the 2027 diary filling up like this already is absolutely class, and we never take that support for granted.

There’s a lot of travelling ahead and plenty more still to come, but for today we really just wanted to say thank you!

You lot are some bunch 💛

We’re absolutely pumped to announce that we already have 22 events loaded up and live for the 2027 season 💛

Loads of races, loads of spaces and plenty of opportunity to get your pride and joy safely, securely and punctually transported to your next big event with Velo Yelo.

A fair few of our trips filled up unbelievably quickly this year (thank you legends),
So if you already know where you’re racing in 2027, now would be a brilliant time to get a jump on things and get your bike transport sorted while there’s still plenty of availability.

We’ve got races right across Europe already live, with everything from Mallorca, Roth and Alpe d’Huez through to Tallinn, Kalmar, Copenhagen, Nice, Cascais, Málaga and plenty more in between.

Head over to the site, scroll through the events, destinations and prices, and see where we can help get your bike next season.

22 events live already. Safe to say we’re properly excited for 2027 💛

Wow team, what an absolutely fantastic week we had in Pontevedra 🇪🇸🌍

We were genuinely blown away by the effort, grit and determination on show right across the World Triathlon Championship Finals. Seeing so many of you out there representing your countries, giving it everything and getting stuck into some brilliant racing was class.

Weeks like that are a good reminder of just how much work sits behind every start line. The training, the travel, the nerves, the early mornings and all the rest of it finally coming together on one of the biggest stages in the sport.

To all of our Velo Yelo triathletes, thank you again for trusting us to get your bikes there and back. It means a lot to play even a small part in a week that means so much to you.

And to everyone who raced in Pontevedra, massive congratulations. You did yourselves, your teams and your countries proud.

What a week. What a bunch of legends 💛
