🚍 Service 668 Update – Avalon Marshes

From Monday 31st August 2026, Service 668 will no longer serve Avalon Marshes.

Unfortunately, this change is due to the funding for the extension coming to an end.

We introduced these additional journeys on 22nd April 2025, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has travelled with us since then. Your support has been greatly appreciated, and we hope the service has been of benefit to both local residents and visitors to the area.

📅 The final day the 668 will serve Avalon Marshes will be Friday 28th August 2026. If you’ve been thinking about visiting, there’s still time to make the most of the service before it finishes.

We’ve attached the updated timetable, which comes into effect from 30th August 2026, so please take a moment to check the revised journey times before you travel.

🚌 Service Update – Route 94

From Sunday 30th August 2026, there will be some minor changes to the Route 94 timetable.

The revised timetable is shown below, with all changes highlighted in red.

These adjustments affect the first two morning journeys and have been made to improve punctuality and reliability in response to the ongoing traffic delays we have been experiencing on the route.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued support while we work to provide a more reliable service for our passengers.

🚌 New Saturday Service – Route 184 🚌

We are delighted to announce the launch of a Saturday service on our 184 route between Frome and Midsomer Norton!

The first day of operation will be Saturday 5th September 2026.

Please note that the Saturday timetable differs slightly from the weekday service, so if you’re planning to travel, be sure to check the timetable below before you set off.

Disruptions to the 184 service

⚠️ Service 184 – Emergency Road Closure ⚠️

Unfortunately, there is currently an emergency road closure between Coleford and Holcombe.

From the 09:50 journey onwards, Service 184 will operate between Coleford and Frome only until further notice.

We will provide further updates as soon as we receive more information.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank passengers for their understanding.

⚠️ Service 668 – Road Closure Between Glastonbury and Meare ⚠️

We have just been notified of a road closure on the B3151 between Glastonbury and Meare.

The closure is in place today and tomorrow (30.06.2026 & 01.07.2026) between 09:30 and 15:30.

During these times, Service 668 will be unable to serve Meare.

The bus will divert via Shapwick to avoid the closure, so delays are expected.

The following journeys will operate in full:

✅ 07:25
✅ 08:50
✅ 15:50
✅ 17:03

All other journeys will divert via Shapwick and will not be able to serve Meare during the closure times.

⚠️ Service 668 – Further Disruption ⚠️

We have just been notified of an emergency closure on the B3151 through Mere.

The closure is in place between 09:30 and 15:30 today and tomorrow.

We are currently working to find a suitable solution. However, for now, Service 668 is unable to serve Mere during the closure times.

We apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience caused. Further updates will be provided as soon as we have more information

⚠️ Service 668 – Further Cheddar Moor Road Closure ⚠️

Please be advised that Cheddar Moor Road will remain closed from Thursday 4th June 2026 until Friday 19th June 2026.

We have now been advised that access through the closure will not be available for Service 668. We are deeply sorry for previous confusion with this closure.

We understand this is an important time for Strode College students with exams taking place, and we want to keep the 668 service as reliable and on time as possible.

During this closure:

All journeys, except the 17:00 journey, will operate between Wedmore and Street only, at the normal timetable times between these points.

✅ The 17:00 journey will still operate through to Shipham, but will divert via Wells due to the closure. Please note that Wells will not be served.

On the 17:00 journey, we will be able to serve all usual stops, except the Kings of Wessex stop in Cheddar and we will not be serving Cocklake.

Unfortunately, Cheddar and Shipham will not be served on the other journeys during the closure.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank passengers for their understanding
