What a run!

In August, more than 100 runners took part in Run the Runway at Islay Airport, helping us raise an incredible £900+ for Islay Community First Responders.

A huge congratulations to our winners:

Planning to fly a drone? Before you get airborne, make sure you check that you are safe to fly.

Our airports are protected by a Flight Restriction Zone or FRZ, where it is illegal to fly a drone without permission, but applying to do so is straightforward.

Highlands and Islands Airports Limited is recruiting for an Aerodrome Flight Information Services Officer (AFISO) based in Islay.

As an AFISO, you will play a key role in supporting aviation safety by delivering accurate and timely Aerodrome Flight Information and Meteorological Services to aircraft operating within the Aerodrome Traffic Zone and beyond. The role requires strong professional judgement, sustained concentration and real-time decision making in a safety-critical environment.
