Well that’s the end of another busy week on the road,

So here we go again, the nice people at the environment agency have renewed our waste transfer licence for another 3 years.
We have chosen the optional extra of having some credit card style certificates so if any of our customers want to see if we are legal we can show our card.
Just one of the joys of running a legit business.

Right then here we go, we have 5 questions, come and see us at south Cerny with the answer to a question and we will give you a goody bag.

1 So back in the early days Shane used to take a fury companion with him to work, can you name this fury friend?

2 These days we have over 300 skips, but how many did we start with when we set up the skip side to the business?

3 In 2023 we took over from another established skip hire business, can you name the company?

4 We supply skips of all sizes but can you tell us our smallest and our largest skip size?

5 Shanes first skip truck didn’t start life as a skip truck, can you tell us what its life started as?

There’s the questions, come and see myself or Nikki and give us the answer and if it hasn’t already been given we will give you a goody bag.

We are heading into a new era of waste management, with new laws starting soon.
We will soon have to create and keep digital waste management records so the environment agency can check our records at any time.
This is going to lead to more admin and system upgrades to be able to store this data and possible more price increases.
So at the moment we are looking at a minimum of £200 per ton plus vat per ton to dispose of general waste. So if any one can dispose of a van load of waste for less than £250 plus vat then it isn’t getting dealt with correctly.
So if it is being taken cheaper than a skip I would definitely ask questions why.

Well all of the new skips are blue and a lot of them are out on hire already, Lee delivered the first new one out, whilst Nikki tried to get all clever with the camera under a low arched bridge. (Decent photo though)
All our customers got their skips on time thanks to the air conditioning and constant supplies of water.
This weekend we will be doing some show prep ready for South Cerny steam rally .

As most of you will know we normally attend the Gloucestershire steam and vintage extravaganza at south cerny on the last weekend of July. It’s our time for a little bit of fun with diesel and coal fumes, and Cider fumes too.
This year we have a limited selection of merch in goody bags to give away.
This is how it will work, a few days before the show we will ask some questions on our page, so when you see us at the steam rally give us the answer to one of the questions, if it hasn’t already been answered you will receive a goody bag and maybe a beer depending on how generous I feel 😂
Just a bit of fun, and to see if it actually works.
So keep your eyes open for the questions and for us at the show (in the lorry section)
