✨ An Evening to Remember ✨

On Monday evening we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Chris and his wonderful family for a private carriage ride from the beautiful Killiehuntly Farmhouse to the historic Ruthven Barracks.

As we travelled through the Highland countryside at the gentle pace of our horses, we were treated to breathtaking scenery, peaceful surroundings and wonderful conversation. There really is something special about slowing down and experiencing the landscape as generations before us once did.

Seeing a family sharing smiles, stories and creating memories together made the evening even more special. Experiences like these are what Carrbridge Carriage Driving is all about—bringing people together, celebrating Scotland's stunning landscapes and offering a truly unique way to explore the Highlands.

A heartfelt thank you to Chris and his lovely family for choosing to spend part of their Highland holiday with us. It was a privilege to share the journey with you, and we hope the memories of your carriage ride stay with you for many years to come.

What a wonderful day spent with Lola! 🐴💚

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming **Leif and Marie**, who are visiting the Scottish Highlands all the way from **Sweden**, for one of our **Carriage Ride with Lunch** experiences. Thankfully, the temperature had dropped, making it much more comfortable for Lola to enjoy the journey.

Our guests arrived early, giving them the opportunity to watch as we groomed, harnessed and put Lola to the carriage – a special part of the experience that many people never get to see.

We then set off on a relaxed drive from the croft into Carrbridge, travelling along peaceful country roads surrounded by spectacular Highland scenery. Along the way we were lucky enough to spot roe deer and other local wildlife, making the journey even more memorable.

On arriving in the village, we paused beside the iconic Packhorse Bridge for a few photographs before continuing to The Cairn Hotel, where Leif and Marie stepped down from the carriage to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

While our guests relaxed over lunch, Lola enjoyed a well-earned break too. We took her to the village car park where she was unharnessed, her bridle removed, and treated to some food, fresh water and a good munch on the grass while she patiently waited for our passengers to return.

After lunch, we set off once more for the journey back to the croft. This time, with nothing left to do but sit back and relax, Leif and Marie were able to soak up the spectacular views across the beautiful Highland countryside as Lola quietly made her way home. Sometimes the return journey is the most peaceful part of the day, giving everyone the chance to truly appreciate the scenery and enjoy the gentle rhythm of horse-drawn travel.

Days like these are what carriage driving is all about – slowing down, enjoying the journey, taking in the beauty of the Cairngorms, and making memories that will last a lifetime.
