80’s factory turbo monster! Just back from a customer test ride and saying goodbye to this lovely GPZ750 Turbo streetfighter. Of all the countless turbo bikes that I’ve had through, this is by far my favourite. Originally it came in for repairs to the damaged casing, but the customer quickly added a few other bits that had been damaged when it was dropped, and went with a few other changes. Exhaust was reworked, and a new up pipe, all the hot side was then sent off to for glacier black cerakote. New oil cooler lines to replace the leaking ones, new bars and controls to replace the damaged ones. Having recently had an engine rebuild and benefitting from an upgraded GT1548 it should be making a solid 150+ and have a long life ahead of it.

Absolutely gorgeous 67 Fastback being put together by Ron and the team at STS Imports, Brand new 347 has slightly odd angled heads, facilitating the need for custom headers in the case. Coupled with the fact that just about every goodie has been thrown at this made the rear end a bit of a head scratcher to get pipework through whilst maintaining travel. A joy to work on such a lovely car though, it’s going to be a true showstopper once it’s complete.

Second of the Ducati 1299 Panigale swapped Raptors. This one arrived with the conversion started, a few engine mounts put in, the frame chopped about, some sort of airbox abortion, and a ruined sump where someone had tried welding the magnesium casting with Ali filler 🤦🏻‍♂️. Butchered frame sections were repaired and reinforced, previous mounts were left but new ones on the correct engine mounting positions added. Exhaust was slightly simpler this time as the frame had already been cut for clearance, although still and convoluted routing. New airbox was made with ram intakes. Rear shock mount modified to accept the Ducatis Ohlin TTX electronic shock. Sump damage cut out and shortened along with the pickup. 10” extended swingarm. Dart Rebuild. Ok bye bye now. With having fled the country to avoid further association with the car, winding up orders were in place. A splattinging of Gravitex, and a sprinkling of fuel and brake lines from and and it was sent on its way. New owner made aware that it was still a work in progress, but at least it got on the truck without snapping in half (even if it did break the truck in the process)

Dart Rebuild. As the previous pictures show, the axle was bent and tubes crushed at the pads, we can only guess this was from severe tramping at some point caused by body flex, driveline angles, loose spring bolts, improper caltrac setup and numerous other factors. Budget was tight, so went with retubing and a back brace over an available fabricated housing. Unnamed idiot (👋) forgot about the shock clearance and had to go back and notch the brace to clear the shocks (genuine Calverts instead of stickered Blazer fitment Ranchos dented to fit this time 🤣)

And she’s outta here. 65 Comet that I first worked on two years ago has been back for headers, exhaust, a host of trim panels, tubular arms and Cal-tracs. Now off for its final assembly, wiring and plumbing, before tearing up the streets

Clipped, Notched, 4 Linked, Flushed, Wild fender well headers, Teardrop fender exit cutouts, 150 litre baffled and sumped bed mounted tank, crazy tight packaged quiet path for the rear exhaust, funky shock setup, custom trans crossmember with master cylinder guard, I’ve thrown everything and more at 59 Chevy pickup, now it’s off to be finished off just in time for show season.
