Our June Newsletter is out!
A few highlights:
We have had a very busy winter season and are now coming to the end of the main launching period, with boats heading back onto the water ready for the summer ahead.
Although the busiest launch period is nearly complete, we are still more than happy to assist with launching your boat, as well as offering storage or workspace over the summer months if required. Please do get in touch with the office to discuss your requirements — we are always happy to help.
Some great news from the yard team: alongside Simeon, our Yard Manager, both Luke and Duncan have now successfully completed their crane driver training, passing with flying colours. Having three fully trained crane drivers gives us greater flexibility and ensures we can continue to provide efficient support whenever needed. Well done to all of you.
We are already receiving strong interest for the 2026/2027 winter season and, as in previous years, priority booking is being offered first to returning customers.
If you are a returning customer from the 2025/2026 season and would like to secure your space at Gweek for the 2026/2027 season, please email [email protected] to confirm your interest in returning, if you have not already done so. There is no need to book specific dates at this stage — this simply allows us to reserve spaces before offering them to those currently on the waiting list.
To guarantee your space, please contact us by the end of June. After this date, spaces may still be available, but this cannot be guaranteed. If you already know that you will not require storage next season, we would appreciate hearing from you so that your space can be offered to someone on the waiting list.
If you have not had your boat stored with us last year and would like to speak to us about storage for the 2026/2027 season, please get in touch with the office and we will issue you a lay-up form and add you to our wait list.
We are pleased to let you know that our launderette is now open and available for customers to use for their domestic washing, the machines currently accept both cash and AirWallet payments – there is also a machine with auto dosing of detergent and softener.
We are delighted to welcome artist Mike Hindle to Gweek. Mike has recently established his studio here with us and will be offering a range of art classes and workshops, alongside creating and showcasing his own remarkable artwork.
Riverstone Hair & Beauty, based here at the Boatyard, has been busy welcoming customers. We are very lucky to have so many skilled therapists working onsite, and it’s great to have them as part of our yard community. Be sure to pop in and say hello!
