Travellling from the hustle and bustle in Agra to the serenity of the jungle in was a welcome interlude on our journey.

A few nights at the delightful , taking some time to pause (whilst also enjoying safari game drives through the National Park) added a unique element to our travel plans. 🐅 🌿

Our batteries were recharged before our next move to the pink city! 💗

Onwards to the iconic TAJ MAHAL

Commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his late wife, Mundas Mahal, the impressive structure was completed in its entirety in 1653 at a cost of 32million rupees. Today this would be close to a billion USD.

Now a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the 7 wonders of the world, it is somewhere that you should definitely aim to visit in your lifetime.

Beyond its impressive structure and breathtaking artistry is an air of calm and serenity plus a magic that is hard to describe.

A rickshaw ride around Old Delhi is an absolute must!

The walled city of Old Delhi (Shahjahanbad) was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Its small size (2.4 sq miles) and population of over a million people make it one of the most densely populated places on earth.

It’s a fascinating place to visit and a peek behind the curtain of real life in the city.
