Rogue Elements

Rogue Elements Rogue elements your one stop shop for set recycling prop and asset disposal along with storage Sets are the biggest problem we see at the moment.

THE PROBLEM
What to do with finished and unwanted sets, props, costumes and set dressings? The Solution
Props, costumes and dressings are removed after the film/TV show is signed off and taken to our discreet processing centre in the West Country. Our team carefully sort through everything and remove anything relating to the production. Any items that may be required for marketing are returned an

d the remainder is either repurposed, sold or donated. All profit made from sales is donated to charitable organisations. Currently most are being burnt, dumped and crushed. We don’t do that

We can strike from set if needed, transport either at filming completion or remove from storage. Then our team strip and dismantle everything whilst salvaging anything that can be reused. Currently less than 10% is being sent to landfill and we donate many items to worthy causes. How do we survive? Currently production companies are paying to destroy sets and dressings. We charge to remove and we then recycle them and we can provide full documentation on how much we have salvaged and in many instances where it has gone to be repurposed. Recyling may not be the cheapest option but it is the best choice and doesn’t cost as much as you think. This also helps with your carbon footprint unlike burning and sending to landfill. Rogue’s aim is to reduce waste created within TV and film production. Our main objective is to upcycle and recycle 100% of all sets, props and set dressings we receive whilst helping charitable organisations along the way. The systems we have in place enable an ethical process which production companies can utilise. This green business model helps by removing the all too familiar headache scenario of what to do and how to do it best. The goals for each and every set…
From every single set build we aim to recycle and upcycle 95% of the entire load and we are currently acheiving 90%. With all our green measures in place we are convinced that within the next 12 months our eco target will be maximised. A typical load would generally consist of:

75% Timber
8% Polystyrene and Expanding Foam
7% Glass Fibre
5% Metal
3% Plastic
1% Glass
1% Plaster of Paris

TIMBER
Timber broken down all fixings removed where necessary, repurposed, donated and anything that is unusable (very little) shredded for garden wood chippings. POLYSTYRENE
Polystyrene and expanding foam is recycled into household goods, insulation home decor etc. PALLETE WRAP
Pallet wrap collected and recycled into food wrap and material packaging. ACRYLIC
Acrylic can be used for soundproofing windows doors etc, baby incubators, surgical devices. ABS
ABS recycled and added to virgin ABS to create further products as mentioned above. Glass is sent to glass recycling companies and repurposed for many uses. All metal is recycled and smelted down for reuse. Plaster of Paris is currently our nemesis, we break this down and mix with hardcore to create a flatter working surface in our own yard. This is a work in progress currently and something we are fully committed to continue. Occasionally we receive glass fibre, if it’s intact we change the appearance by painting etc then donate to local theatre groups to be used in there stage productions. We always ensure traceability protection which guarantees no copyright status can be compromised. Props and set dressing. All loads we receive we meticulously sort removing any sensitive material, we also find the items often needed for marketing purposes or requested by the production companies. Once we have sorted through everything we immediately donate a large proportion to local and national charities. Anything we have left we sell again whilst protecting all sources. After costs, we donate the remainder to worthwhile causes such as food banks and community kitchens.
