As promised its landed, its taken a while to get this right and we have been around the houses many times developing this product which we feel meets the needs and requirements of our customers and is uncomplicated yet thorough.
We still have additional works to do regarding the future development and are currently in the process of some snazzy ease of data access software which will make it more of a vital safety tool, so keep your eyes peeled for that within the coming months.
The website is also currently being updated and refreshed by the wizard that is and will include Navispec and the updated uniforms are being done as we speak by the awesome team from RH Signs and whilst im name dropping i need to include the very very patient Andrew from Songhurst Print who has printed all of our POS and been a great sounding board for me whilst i was designing. SO FINALLY LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO THE NEW SERVICE OFFERED BY H&H........NAVISPEC.
After years of servicing the marine industry, we have noticed that lack of maintenance is the main reason for lay ups and less time at sea costing vessels extensive loss of profit and also costs for staff and materials. We feel that we can offer a service that will help to minimise these losses, which in turn will not only yield a greater profit turnover and a less frustrating way of operating, but also a much safer way of working for the crew.
We feel that shifting from operating under a reactive maintenance culture to a proactive maintenance culture is the way forward and holds many advantages. It will reveal minor problems before they become major issues, maintain key equipment on the vessel and monitor wear and tear which, due to the environmental conditions that the vessels are exposed to daily, tends to be significant.
So we have devised a monthly subscription package which aims to alleviate potentially life threatening and costly incidents, saving you time, money and potentially lives.
We appreciate that vessels come in many sizes and forms so we have designed the subscription packages with this in mind, and have worked on 3 different scales:
Vessels over 15M
Vessels 10 - 15M
Vessels under 10M
and then levels of cover and benefits can be chosen using the traditional GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE LEVELS. (See the flyers for a full list of benefits)
Safety checks will cover batteries and battery charging systems, bilge pumps and bilge alarms, navigation lights and emergency lights, which from our experience tend to cause the most issues. The results of the checks will be documented, a copy of which will stay in the vessels safety folder and one which be sent to the company headquarters, and recommendations will be made if required, allowing plans to be made at a time that works both financially and practically for you. This also aids the requirement for documentation and evidence in the ever-changing world of safety regulation and guidelines.
Navispec also offers the additional benefits of emergency call outs without the cost of a call out charge, saving you £100 each time, should you require one, on a dedicated line which operates 24/7. Discount on materials and an optional stock holding service, which will reduce down time and get you back in operation quicker as there is no waiting for ordered parts, or delays in deliveries.
Invoices will be issued on a monthly basis, which will allow for better cash forecasting as well as a reduction in admin hours and costs as we will contact you to make the appointments, as well as issuing reminders saving you both time and stress.
