Stomor is a Civil Engineering Consultancy based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Our services extend from preliminary site feasibility advice and technical investigations, through to detailed civil engineering infrastructure design for construction. Stomor provide a professional consultancy service to a variety of Clients including Developers, Architects, Planners and Local Authorities, helping them to achieve infrastructure solutions on problematic sites.

Stomor Ltd are delighted to have held a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Wednesday 24th September, helping to raise funds for the important work Macmillan Cancer Support carry out. A great array of cakes, including a banana loaf by Judy and a tiramisu by Sam, were enjoyed by staff in the office, and visitors from some of our friends.

In total, £370 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support thanks to our staff and friends at other companies! This money will help to fund critical support to those living with cancer, and the people who support them. As co-founder and Managing Director of Stomor Ltd, it is my absolute pleasure to announce that, as of 2nd April 2025, Stomor Ltd is now owned by an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) - 17 years and 3 months after Duncan Stoten and I first registered Stomor Ltd at Companies House

I am so grateful to everyone at Stomor for making this company the fantastic company that it has become, and we are all excited to be embarking on this next adventure!

Stomor Ltd continues to operate just as before, focusing on our high design standards and morals, keeping on top of industry developments and changes, while providing support and development opportunities for our team. Through this EOT process, it is intended that the culture of Stomor will remain strong to its values for the foreseeable future.

I know Duncan would have been so proud of us for making this move and I am forever grateful to him for believing in me when I suggested the idea of setting up the company all those years ago. His brilliant engineering, high standards and compassionate personality made him the perfect business partner/leader/director and I learnt everything I know from him.

So as we embark on this next stage of our Stomor journey, we hope you will join us in celebrating the beginning of a future shaped by the people who make Stomor what it is, a team built on trust, talent, and shared purpose.
