🚍 Southeast 2026 ~ Day 3

A great final day at Busworld Southeast Asia in Jakarta.

From testing driving simulators and hands-on demonstrations to exploring premium interiors and the latest vehicle designs, there was plenty to see across the exhibition floor.

It’s been a fantastic few days meeting industry partners, discovering new innovations, and seeing what’s next for passenger .

Since the weather’s been heating up, we thought we’d ask some of our drivers for their top tips when working on the road in the hot weather ☀️

Today’s tips come from Anderson:

🚍 Paying extra attention to concentration and focus ~ the hotter the weather gets, the more intense driving can become.

💧 Staying hydrated throughout the day with plenty of water.

😌 Staying calm, friendly and patient with customers and other road users, even during the hottest days.

Safety, focus and professionalism always come first 👏

Last week, the Calibre team attended Busworld Southeast Asia in to explore the latest developments in the bus and coach industry.

📍 Driver’s Finds — A303 Edition ☕️🧭

Sometimes the road throws in delays…
and sometimes it throws in places you’d never have found otherwise.

While working a Saturday movement down towards Torquay, Simon Loveday came across Willowby Hedge Café just off the A303 near Longleat ~ complete with homemade food, a proper layby stop and even a view of Stonehenge further up the road.

That’s becoming the best part of Driver’s Finds ~ the unexpected places drivers discover in between the miles 🚛

This week, Steve E has been up in Leeds helping prepare vehicles for the Leeds Bus Exhibition 🚍

It’s easy to think the job is only about getting vehicles from A to B ~ but there’s a huge amount of work behind the scenes before events like this even begin.

From deliveries and positioning vehicles to making sure everything is presentation-ready, our drivers play a part in keeping the industry moving both on and off the road.

📍 Driver’s Finds 🌍

Today, two drivers had two very different endings to their days.

One finishing out on the water down on the south coast ⛴️🌊
The other arriving into Norwich as the evening settled in ☀️

That’s the reality of life on the road ~ no two journeys, routes or destinations ever really look the same.

One day can end by the coastline, the next in the middle of a city hundreds of miles away.

And somewhere in between all of that, there’s always another story to tell 🚛

There’s something about Scarborough in the morning; calm sea, bright skies and that quiet moment before another day on the move begins 🚛☀️
