**There are moments behind the wheel that you won’t find in any job description. 🚐**

First address.

You park, pick up the parcel, close the van and head to the door.

Doorbell.

After a moment, an older man opens the door.

He looks at the parcel, smiles and says:

**“Oh, good, it’s here. I’ve been waiting for it.”**

A few seconds.

An ordinary delivery.

You get back in the van and carry on.

In a single day, a delivery driver can knock on dozens of different doors. 🚐

Most of those interactions last only a moment.

Someone answers in their slippers. Someone else is just heading out to work. Sometimes the customer is already waiting at the door, and sometimes you have time to check the house number one more time before they open it.

There is a quick “thank you”, a brief smile, and then you move on. 📦

Every stop may look similar, but it is never exactly the same. A different street, a different house, a different person on the other side of the door.

And that is what keeps the day moving.
