A trio of French planes arrived at lunch time with 6 intrepid aviators who had ventured North through less than hospitable weather on route to Strathaven. A lovely bunch of guys.

Following the recent heavy rainfall, the initial section of Runway 07 (grass) is currently very soft and boggy for approximately the first 50–60 metres from the threshold.

Pilots are advised not to land on or taxi across this section to avoid the risk of getting stuck. When using Runway 07, please land beyond this soft area and line up from around 50–60 metres in.

All visiting aircraft requesting PPR will also be briefed on these conditions.

Runway 25 (tarmac) remains in excellent condition with no standing water.

Thanks for your cooperation and fly safe.
