Unfortunately, Manifold Valley Cycle Hire will be closed on Thursday 11th April due to staff illness.

We will however be open Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April.

Steam trains return to Hulme End!

Did you know that the Manifold trail was previously a narrow gauge railway?

Our friends at The Tea Junction are based in the old engine shed, and The Manifold Inn Hotel was known as 'The Light Railway Hotel' for many years.

Built to transport milk from local farms, the last train puffed along the valley to Waterhouses in March 1934. 90 years ago.

We were therefore delighted to see this fully working, steam powered replica of one of the original locomotives back at what was formerly Hulme End station, Now Manifold Valley Cycle Hire & visitor centre. Our thanks to one of our lovely customers who kindly brought it along for the day.

You might not be able to catch a train to Waterhouses or Wetton Mill Tea Rooms these days, but you can certainly hire one of our bikes to get you there instead! We're open everyday from 9.30am until the 14th April.

We're egg-cited for the start of the 2024 season. Come and join us as we open this Good Friday 9.30am-4.30pm and for the rest of the childrens' school holidays. Enjoy the wonders of the Manifold Valley on an 8 mile family friendly route or for the more adventurous there are plenty on road route options. We hope to see you soon. We better hop to it and get ready to open up 🐰

Today, the last day of August, is also the last day of our season.

Thanks to our friends at The Tea Junction, Wetton Mill Tea Rooms, Bank House Farm Campsite, Upper Hurst Farm Caravans Camping & Glamping & The Manifold Inn Hotel for their support this year.

And of course a huge thank you to everyone who has chosen to hire a bike from us to explore the beautiful Manifold Valley. It's always a real pleasure to assist you, & we hope you remember your day out fondly.

We look forward to welcoming you back again in 2024.

Good morning from a sunny Hulme End!

We are open every day until the end of August, including the bank holiday weekend.

Explore the famous Thors Cave, enjoy a stop at Wetton Mill Tea Rooms and lunch and a cuppa from our friends at The Tea Junction. The Manifold Inn is a two minute walk away if you fancy some liquid refreshment after your ride!
