Yesterday, Friday 4th September at 8pm sunset at Neist Point. Our guests requested a good location on Skye so we took them to Neist Point. When we arrived the entire location was covered in mist but fortunately it cleared just in time to catch the sunset.

Sligachan Old Bridge is regularly the first stop on our minibus tour of Skye. It’s such an amazing location. The majority of people who visit Skye will stop here and get their photo on the bridge with the Cuillin mountains in the background. A favourite spot for wedding pictures.
Occasionally our guests will hike to the Fairy pools from Sligachan and I will collect them from Glenbrittle. It’s a good idea to try and experience this location early morning as it tends to be busy once the hotels, bnbs and hostels hit the road. Eilean Donan Castle, August 2026. Our guests requested a visit to the castle in Dornie before starting their bespoke island tour of Skye. It’s a 15 minute drive from the castle to reach the Skye bridge so it’s common for our guests to visit Eilean Donan first especially if they are staying on the south of Skye. As you can see the car park is fairly busy. Eilean Donan is one of those places which always has folk at it even in winter when it’s closed. It’s because it’s such a stunning location.
