Today, we are proud to spotlight I Ketut Astika. 🛳️

"I have worked for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines since August 2007 - next year, I will celebrate 20 years here! My first ship was Black Prince, working as a Galley Utility. Since then, with the help of my supervisors, I have worked my way up into my current role as Bar Manager - my biggest achievement.

A typical day in my life includes monitoring all bar and café operations to make sure we are providing the best possible service to our guests. I really enjoy my job, as I get to speak to our guests a lot, understanding their needs, and I also get to help my team where they need it.

I decided to work at sea after seeing my brother, uncle and some neighbours succeed as seafarers. Working on board has allowed me to share experiences with colleagues from other parts of the world. I've had the opportunity to visit some incredible places around the world.

Besides the satisfaction of receiving great feedback about our Bar service, one of my favourite things about working for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is seeing our guests happy during their holidays. I've also had the priviledge of being Employee of the Month three times, which is a great feeling.

My favourite place to cruise to is the Norwegian Fjords. I love waking up early to enjoy the fresh air out on deck - the air there is so clean, it helps to clear the mind. Somewhere I'd like to cruise to in the future? Japan and Alaska!"

Thank you for your hard work, Ketut!

Another special ship reunion! 🛳️🛳️💙

Recently, Bolette and Balmoral met in Akureyri, Iceland, and now it was the turn of our sister ships, Bolette and Borealis, to reunite - this time, in the beautiful surroundings of Olden, Norway. 🇳🇴

With both ships were in port, our crew had the chance to catch up with friends from the other ship during their free time.

It’s always lovely to see our Fred. Olsen family come together, especially in such a scenic port in the Norwegian fjords. 😍

There's just one month to go until Balmoral sets sail for an unforgettable Mediterranean adventure! 🌊☀️

Balmoral will set off on a remarkable journey through the Mediterranean, taking in iconic destinations including Istanbul, Athens (via Piraeus) and Valletta, alongside hidden gems such as Marmaris, Thessaloniki and Syros.

With extended stays in Salerno, Crete and Limassol, there’s more time to explore, while scenic cruising will take place in the spectacular Bay of Kotor, Amalfi Coast and Strait of Messina. 🛳️

And with Balmoral’s smaller size, we can visit more intimate ports and discover places away from the busiest tourist crowds.

There’s still time to book this cruise, or you can join us for a sector with a fly-cruise option: https://brnw.ch/21x5jfB ✈️

We’re proud to celebrate three of our incredible crew members as they take the next steps in their careers with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. 👏

🌟 Shila Mae Jaictin has moved from Assistant Restaurant Waiter to Assistant Bar Waiter. She celebrated 3 years with us this year. Congratulations, Shila!

🌟 Stiju Das Lnu – after transferring from Sanitation Utility into our Restaurant Department, Stiju has already made a fantastic impression, being named Employee of the Month for July as Utility Busboy.

🌟 Reginald Buado – moving from Housekeeping Utility into a new role as Assistant Bar Waiter. Reginald has high ambitions and is already looking ahead to his continued development.

We’re delighted to see our crew growing, developing and taking on new opportunities across our fleet. We wish Shila, Stiju and Reginald every success in their new roles! 💙
