A brilliant evening at the Eddington Centre talking all things 20mph!

A massive congratulations to the Eddington Centre Cyclery for it's grand opening, and servicing it's first bikes 👏🏼

Then it was Walk and Wheel Kendal's turn to share the benefits and importance of 20mph schemes and the impact they have had in other areas in:

-Reducing rates of people being killed or seriously injured by collisions.
-increasing active travel
-reducing pollution
-reducing congestion
-making a town a more enjoyable, friendly place!

The consultation is LIVE now.
If you like the sound of the above and want to see this becomes a reality in Kendal, every completion of the consultation form is important.

SO go and fill it in, tell your neighbours, friends, communities, clubs, societies, choirs, churches, yoga groups, friends that visit Kendal etc etc!

JOIN US TOMORROW!

All things cycling tomorrow (Monday) evening at The Eddington Centre, Kendal.

The Eddington Centre will be launching their cyclery, with free bike checks available (booking required) 4-6pm, followed by a cutting of the ribbon and celebrations @ 6pm

At 6.30 We'll then be sharing information about the 20mph consultation and getting people to pledge their support. Come and find out more about the benefits of 20mph, case studies and what we think about the proposed scheme.

🚨 The consultation is LIVE! 🚨

Go have a read of the proposal documents, and fill in the consultation to positively support and give any feedback/comments you have.

ALL positive responses are worth the effort, this is our time to flood the council with positivity and advocate for the scheme. It's now or never!

Tell your friends, cycling clubs, aunties, colleagues and neighbours! 🚨🚨

A consultation for 20mph in Kendal is starting tomorrow

Here are some things to consider before filling in the consultation:
-Have you read the supporting documents and studied the maps?
-Is it ambitious enough?
-Does it cover the key areas where?
-Children’s routes to school
-Key crossings and junctions for walking + wheeling
-Leisure and community facilities, and the way people travel there
-Health care facilities
-Shops and amenities

Starting on the 4th June and running for 6 weeks, the council will be consulting on a Kendal wide 20mph scheme.

This consultation is the opportunity to share your support AND provide constructive feedback.

Fill in the consultation and share your thoughts.
AND email your local counsellor to say thanks and share your feedback.

NOW is the time to positively engage with the consultation.

We are excited for Kendal to be safer, cleaner and friendlier.
