Final Delivery in Malta

What a journey.

Arriving in Malta...

Following the final stages of the journey, the four fire engines arrived safely in Malta.

International vehicle movements demand precision and focus at every step, but there are occasional moments to pause along the way.

At Sea...the Journey to Malta continues...

After completing the road stages of the journey, the operation continued from Genoa with a 36-hour ferry crossing to Valletta.

Multi-stage international transport requires careful coordination across both land and sea, ensuring schedules, vehicle security, and operational control are maintained throughout.

With the 4 vehicles safely secured onboard, another critical phase of the movement was underway as the journey progressed towards Malta.

A moment for Gavin and the team to enjoy the views across the water, and a few games of darts!

Across Europe...

The Journey continues to Malta.

Moving four fire engines across Europe is more than a journey.

Operations like this require careful planning, precise coordination, and an experienced team who understand the responsibility behind transporting specialist emergency vehicles.

For those of us working in vehicle movement, there’s a genuine pride in what we do. Alongside the logistics, there are moments that remind you just how unique these projects can be.

The Journey to Malta....

The fire engines were completed and prepared at Emergency One in Cumnock before beginning their journey across Europe.

From Scotland, the route carried the vehicles to Folkestone, through the Eurotunnel to Calais, onward via Dijon, across Northern Italy to Genoa, before the final sea crossing to Valletta. From Valletta, the vehicles were delivered to their final destination at Ħal Far Fire Station / CPD HQ.

EVT carefully plans and prepares every route, ensuring each stage of the journey is managed safely and efficiently. This operation took four days to complete, with the emergency vehicles transported securely across road and sea.

Transporting emergency service vehicles requires detailed logistical planning, technical understanding, and careful coordination long before the vehicles reach the road.

Scotland to Malta

EVT recently completed the international transport of four fire engines, working in partnership with Emergency One Group Ltd

The journey covered approximately 1,900 miles by road and sea, demonstrating EVT’s capability in managing complex specialist vehicle movements across international routes.

Transporting emergency service vehicles requires specialist knowledge, careful handling, and an understanding of the responsibility behind every asset. EVT operates as a flexible delivery partner, doing everything possible to ensure vehicles arrive safely and securely at their destination.
