Our McCulloch Rail team has been out on site with the MTS for one of its early deployment projects, delivering work that required precision, control and minimum disruption.

The MTS has been engineered through years of real world learning and market demand. We designed it to move heavy and complex components with accuracy in locations that are challenging for traditional methods. Early feedback is already generating interest from partners across the world and in sectors beyond rail. Whilst able to work in pairs to lift up to 50t turnouts, the MTS is proving itself to be an adaptable piece of plant whilst on site to support wider works as demonstrated below.

Smarter, faster, safer delivery to the rail infrastructure.

The McCulloch Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MMPV) continues to prove why it’s one of the most versatile and efficient pieces of equipment available to the rail industry.

Engineered to be self-mounting, self-propelled and when fitted with our crane module self-loading, the MMPV delivers a level of agility that traditional methods simply can’t match.

Today we celebrate 25 years of Wullie Agnew being part of Team McCulloch! Wullie is well known by colleagues and clients alike for his humour, but most of all (despite the occasional moan!) his willingness to found a solution to any problem brought to him. As well as his fondness for a packet of Tunnocks tea cakes!

Our Directors Danny and Anne today made a small presentation to mark the occasion… perhaps it’s a little much to ask for another 25 years but we look forward to continuing to work together in the future! And thank Wullie for his continued dedication, commitment and hard work to the Group - especially our McCulloch Rail business 🚂

Our Rail team have been hard at work with clients Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail over the last several months; offering long term leasing of our Panel Lifters, along with operators to support with meeting their project deadlines.

We had a busy weekend completing works for the CRSA in Ruislip with our patented TRTs. With two teams of McCulloch operatives working on the project, splitting the workload over multiple shifts, it was an early start for the first team arriving at 4am. With our TRTs, and the second team, finally leaving the site into the 'wee small hours' of the next day.

Our TRTs were supporting the work of the other teams on site by providing our renowned expertise in rail handling and logistics - allowing them to focus on their own areas.

Thanks to the power of social media, we can confirm we’ve recovered our skid steer albeit it has been vandalised and is not currently in a working state.

Thanks to everyone for sharing. We would still welcome any information relating to its theft and vandalisation.

🚨🚨🚨Appeal for information - PLEASE SHARE🚨🚨🚨

Unfortunately we have been subject to a theft of plant from our property just outside Ballantrae. We have had a yellow JCB skid steer / loader stolen from our facility at Little Bennane farm. The incident has taken between the morning of Thursday 16th January and this morning - Sunday 19th January. Unfortunately, the thief has removed our tracking device from the piece of plant.

The thief will have driven this from the farm along the public roads, we are therefore hoping someone can assist us with having the equipment safely returned. If you have any information please share it by direct message, email [email protected] or calling 07502573210. Alternatively you can contact the Police or Crimestoppers directly using crime reference number - 1034190125.

Please share, and thanks for your assistance as we seek to get back our stolen plant.
