I took £100 as that’s literally every penny I could spare after my bills.
Even if it’s £10 take it out make sure they know we want cash alive!

Anyone who is worrying about their GCSE results today.
Ask the next 10 people you meet how many times in their life have their GCSEs helped them.
I’ve never been asked in a job interview for my gcse results, I’ve never had to take a lower paid job because I didn’t do well at school, I’ve never had any doors closed due to me not being academically smart.
The most successful people I know didn’t do well at school and the vast majority of people I know that did do well at school are wrapped up in student debt in a job they hate.
Just remember you are better than what a piece of paper will tell you.
Our education system is outdated and broken and is crippling the minds of young children with unrealistic and un achievable goals.
Testing how good a person can store information and regurgitate it on command is not a way to test a creative mind.
Regardless if you got A’s or F’s, 1‘s or 9’s today you can celebrate the day you can finally go forward with what ever you want to be in life.
And remember there is always time to reinvent your self and try again, no matter what age you are, as long as you’re not dead then you have time.

We’re at the VanLove festival this weekend, we was going to create a vlog about our weekend, however we have spent the weekend having the time of our lives.
Andy was the first ever person to come and tell me he was subscribed to our YouTube channel and from that day to this he has been our friend.

Our YouTube channel and our vanlife adventures have made us so many friends but Andrew is our number one!

The first guy that made me feel famous! Our channel opens us up to so many people and has made us so many life long friends!

If you haven’t found vanlife yet, all we ask is why?

This community will love you, it will embrace you and it will make you one of its family.

Among everything we have done this weekend, making Pizza with Andy and his wife Louise has been the absolute highlight of our weekend, it didn’t go to plan, the final pizza was the best and none of it was caught on camera because we were living in the moment!

I challenge you to try vanlife and meet a new friend. Without vanlife we would have never met what we call our family.

We have had an amazing weekend displaying Apollo at the VanLife Festival meeting up with old friends and making new ones along the way.
We had loads of people coming over saying there were booked on for Slumber on the Humber and handed out loads of flyers to those who hadn’t heard about it.
The internet signal was absolutely terrible which was amazing as my phone stayed in my pocket the whole weekend and we lived in the moment, hence the lack of photos.
Back to work again this morning making memories happen for others.

It’s hopefully coming back in for some interior work soon so they can come to our event Slumber on the Humber!

We handed the off grid horse box back over to two very happy customers.
This is being set straight to work as a zero waste cafe and also a hub for teaching about sustainable living and on top of that a sleeping compartment for them to get their head down during a busy festival.
This horse box was kitted out using only reclaimed and reused materials to fit with the ethos of its use.
Boasting a lithium power set up to run the appliances, a huge bed set up that also doubles up as a sign for outside.
Loads of storage and shelving for storing and selling their wears and educational material for their talks.
This was a learning curve not only for us but for the customers as we both have never done anything like this before.
This job was very challenging but also very rewarding to see it finished.
We’re now on a bank holiday wind down ready for the next van coming in on Tuesday.

Had Rick Detail contact me panicking about his electrics in his van.
His split charge relay was allowing the leisure set up to drain his vans starter battery.
When he arrived it was clear the split charge was the least of his worries.
We spared him a last minute hour this morning sorting out the worst of the issues including the battery terminals being on the wrong way round, cables just been stuck under bolts, the split charge relay earth wire had been trapped and damaged just to name a few.
We have made the install safe and given some advice on better leisure battery care.
While he was here he noticed my headlights on my camper van were looking worse for wear and brought them up like brand new!
I have been saying I’m going to buy new ones for some time now after I polished them with toothpaste and all it did was made them smell minty fresh.
Glad he came now as he’s saved me buying a new set of headlights.
Another happy customer who will be returning for some more work when we can set a little more time aside for him to get his system performing to his requirements.

I don’t usually post photos of unfinished work without all it’s final finishing touches on however this job is very different.
We are currently converting this horse box into a zero waste cafe.
The main purpose of this build when finished is for the owner to travel around to festivals and hold talks about sustainable living.
With that ethos in mind, we have been building this trailer from reclaimed and re used materials.
Now we have loads of off cuts of kitchen worktop, however none that are big enough to span the gap needed.
So instead of buying a piece of worktop and wasting what we have, we are going to make a small shelf unit at either side again out of reclaimed materials.
We are in need of some scaffold boards, in total we will need around 6m to make the 2 units.
Firstly does anyone have any they don’t need or can anyone recommend a good reclamation yard?
So far we have hit our 100% reused materials goal and I’d hate to lose that by having to buy new scaffold boards.
