After a detour to High Life (A) on Saturday we're still mopping up some football before it stops for a week or two. We were delighted to see after one of the warmest days for a while we were delighted to see that there was a match at the picturesque Westview Park home of Kirrie Thistle JFC. Bizarrely the second season in a row we've seen them play Dundee North End. This time the champions race into a 4-0 half time lead and two quick goals for either side near the end made it 5-1 and that is how it finished. No Lowland League East for North End next year. So chances are the Midland League title will be staying in Dundee.

Something rather different as the football season draws to a close. We've been in County Tyrone for the week and discovered that there was the Ulster Junior Hurling League Final at Healy Park in Omagh. A tremendous time was had. Tremendous stadium. Tremendous sport. I enjoy that the ball is called a sliotar (pronounced slitter). I also enjoy that the sliotar can travel 175 meters in 3 seconds! After a slow start Dun Geanainn (Dungannon) start to dominate and in the end are comfortable winners by 2:17 (23) to 2:12 (18) against Omagh St Endas

King Cup Semi Final

The game ended in a one all draw but Kinnoull FC beat Thornton Hibs on penalties to reach the final of the King Cup against Edinburgh University.

Thornton did well for most of the game down to ten men and unlucky not to win.

A bit radio silent from us again. Sorry team. Life has been doing a lot of getting in the way. We did however manage to spend an excellent afternoon in Luncarty today supporting Kirkcaldy & Dysart FC. Another good victory for K&D. One of the very best for the Ferroequinologically minded.

What a game!

Bathgate Thistle 2-3 Kirkcaldy & Dysart FC

Bathgate took advantage of sloppy defending to take a two goal advantage but K&D fought back valiantly with some great football and good finishes.

A great win for the local team!

Wet Wednesday at the local Lowland League Club versus Old Father Groundhopping's Hometown Cowdenbeath Football Club v Clydebank FC the Bankies take another big step towards avoiding Talbot and Pollok next year with a comfortable win. Very exciting finish ahead in the four way battle for the Lowland League title

Kirkcaldy & Dysart stun Preston in the EOS League Cup!

East of Scotland Football League Cup 2nd Round

Kirkcaldy & Dysart FC 3-0 Preston Athletic Football Club

3 fantastically worked goals see K&D through to the next round of the League Cup. A great bounce back after the lacklustre performance at Crossgates in the league last week.

Women's Wednesday!

We had to officially tick off Hamilton Community Stadium for the Groundhopping so we thought we'd take the opportunity to see Glasgow City play there tonight against Celtic.

Ground 199: Hamilton Community Stadium, Hamilton.

Celtic FC Women 1-1 Glasgow City

A late equaliser for City seals a point apiece. Glasgow City remain atop the SWPL 1 table.

Another one ticked off!

Ground 197: Balmoral Stadium. Home of Cove Rangers.

Cove Rangers 2-1 Peterhead

Quite a fiesty but fairly uneventful game. Cove took the lead early on but Peterhead equalised with a great strike from outside the box. The home side then took the lead again through a well worked goal and managed to hold on for the three points.
