Creating space and simplicity in the body and mind - Tina Gilbert & Dave Oldham

Course outline
We will be exploring hatha yoga along with meditation and compassion practices to explore different ways of cultivating simplicity and spaciousness. Life can become busy, complex and stressful leaving us feeling contracted and tense. Pausing, stepping away from our routines, slowing life down and reconnecting with the body, we will discover how to transcend from a contracted way of life.

We will, weather permitting, take some of the practices outside into the beautiful environment on the Holy isle, spending time sitting and walking in the natural space the island offers.
We will explore how to integrate the practices into our daily lives following on from the retreat so we may continue to benefit from our experiences.

Today, 18th April, is the Feast Day of Saint Molaise and we like to recognise it each year.
Saint Molaise stayed in a cave on Holy Isle in hermitage for around 10 years during the late 6th century.
A disciple of Saint Columba, Saint Molaise was a very significant figure in the advancement of Christianity in Scotland and Ireland during his lifetime.
When visiting Holy Isle, you can go to the cave and learn a bit more about Saint Molaise and the ancient healing spring thought to hold special healing properties😊

A big big thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in joining Lamlash Cruises' team this summer.
We've had a fantastic response from so many people to our recent advert and we're very grateful to all.
We will be in touch with everyone personally in due course.
Selection will be very difficult given the high calibre of those interested, so it needs a bit of time to conclude.
Many thanks again to all those who contacted us wanting to support this beautiful island business πŸ™πŸ’™
