We are absolutely delighted to introduce something a little different from MacKenzie Transport Services🚚💨🤐

We’ve just unveiled two limited edition additions to our HIAB fleet, our highest specification trucks and cranes to date. This time, we’ve stepped away from our traditional colours to tell a story that’s close to home!

🏡The Story

The grey represents the iron that built our village. Forth and Wilsontown were home to the Wilsontown Ironworks, founded in 1779, the second coke-fired ironworks in Scotland and the very first in Lanarkshire. It put this place on the map, growing a remote upland spot into a community of thousands.

The gloss black accents nod to what came after: the coal mining that sustained Forth and Wilsontown for generations once the ironworks closed, and shaped the working character of this village for well over a century.

The traditional red stays exactly where it belongs, on our bumpers, a link back to the MacKenzie identity our clients and drivers know us by.

🏗️ The Spec

✔️Two Volvo FH trucks, one carrying a Palfinger PK 92002-SH and the other a Palfinger PK 78002-SH
✔️Fly jib fitted for lifting out to 28m, or removed when the job calls for extra heavy lifting
✔️Front legs mounted on Volvo’s frame extension, giving full 360° lifting without compromising on capacity

👏🏽 The Beam

✔️Aluex 10+ aluminium cross beam from Aluexbeams, rated to 10 tonnes
✔️Weighs only 75kg, so it takes very little away from what the crane can lift
✔️Four-point lift that spreads the load and keeps slings clear of the cargo, ideal for awkward and sensitive goods

Together they make up some of the most versatile equipment we’ve ever put on the road, dedicated to the loyal customers who’ve made this investment possible❤️

A 10.5t PFA wagon collected from a nuclear site and transported to Carlisle, with winching and a full contract lift planned and carried out by our team.

Truckfest 2026🚚💨

Finally getting round to reminiscing about our weekend at Truckfest, which we think is fair to say was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was electric, with the rumble of engines and the vibrant energy of fellow truck enthusiasts 🤠

We had a fantastic time, as you can tell by these truly brilliant pictures showcasing our team and lineup of trucks on display over the weekend!

We’re looking for someone professional, with a positive attitude towards their work, who takes pride in what they do and knows how to go the extra mile when it’s needed. This role suits a driver who is happy being away from home and living in the truck for the working week😀

Position: Class 1 Flatbed Tramper Driver
Location📍: Mackenzie Transport, Forth, South
Lanarkshire Type: Full-Time

Requirements:
✔️Valid Class 1 driving licence
✔️Flatbed experience preferred but not essential ✔️Willingness to work away from home all week, staying in the truck
✔️Experience with sheeting, roping, and load securing is an advantage
✔️Strong commitment
to safety and compliance
✔️Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔️Ability to work independently and manage your own time on the road

Cycle Awareness Training Complete 🚴‍♂️

At the weekend, some of our team took part in a Cycle Awareness Course as part of our journey towards achieving FORS Silver accreditation.

The training provided valuable insight into the challenges cyclists face on the road and reinforced the importance of sharing the road safely and responsibly. By gaining a better understanding of vulnerable road users, we can continue to improve safety standards and promote best practice across all our operations.

A great learning experience for everyone involved and another positive step towards obtaining our FORS Silver accreditation!

At Mackenzie Transport, we believe strong teamwork is built both in and out of the workplace ⛳ 🚚💨

This week, some of the team headed to Topgolf for a social and team-building day, giving everyone the chance to relax, have fun, and spend time together outside of the day-to-day work environment.

It was a brilliant day filled with laughs, friendly competition, and great team spirit. Opportunities like this help strengthen relationships and create an even better working environment for everyone involved.

A great effort by the team for organising the day! It really is fantastic to see everyone coming together and enjoying themselves outside of work! 😁
