I completely understand why travelling with a group of women youā€™ve never met might feel daunting.

Iā€™m not sure the idea naturally appealed to me either šŸ™ˆ

But having travelled with groups of women before, I know thereā€™s something different about it.

For a few days, you step away from your normal life. Nobody needs anything from you. Thereā€™s nothing to organise for anyone else and no role you need to fill.

Youā€™re just there to enjoy yourself.

And the fact you donā€™t already know everyone? Maybe thatā€™s not the downside we think it is.

Maybe thatā€™s part of what makes it so good.

Would travelling with strangers put you off?

Im 43 and past the point of needing a packed 5 day itinerary with 12 activities just to feel like Iā€™ve ā€œdoneā€ a place šŸ˜’

I dislike coach tours at 7am, I donā€™t want every meal pre planned and enforced fun from breakfast to bedtime is a definite no šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼

And I REALLY donā€™t want to come home needing a holiday from my holiday.

Give me a gorgeous hotel, my own room, delicious food and a few really good things planned that are actually worth doing. Then leave some gaps!!

I want time to wander, have a long lunch, people watch with a glass of w**e or go back to my room for an afternoon nap if I fancy it

And if everyone else wants to carry onā€¦crack on šŸ˜‚

Thatā€™s how I plan Gallop & Globe trips.

We travel together but we donā€™t need to be joined at the hip.

There are plans (good ones) but thereā€™s also time to actually enjoy where we are.

Lovely places, great food, experiences worth getting out of bed for and your own room to disappear back to afterwards šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

Santorini this October is the first one šŸ‡¬šŸ‡· and thereā€™s plenty more to come!!
