From January 2022 there is going to be changes at the customs border; 'smart border' model is going to be implemented at all non-inventory linked ports e.g. Port of Dover.

All hauliers will have to register and generate GMR reference number before they arrive at the border. Please note, without this number and the pre-lodged customs entry no driver will be allowed through.

Please get yourself prepared for those incoming changes to avoid queueing at the border and causing delays.

Customs are clamping on REX numbers for goods coming from EU to UK, it has now come to light that all supplier invoices must show a REGISTERED EXPORT NUMBER – REX if the goods are over €6000 within the declaration.

If the goods are under €6000, just an EORI is required somewhere on the invoice, otherwise goods will be eligible for duty.

HS Code - also known as tariff code or a commodity code 🔢

Commodity codes classify goods so your customs agent can fill in import or export declarations. Classifying your goods correctly means that you:

✔ Pay the correct amount of duty.
✔ Know if duty is suspended on any of your goods.
✔ Know if any preferential duty rates can be applied.
✔ Know if you need to obtain an import or export licence.

A lot of people are asking about customs clearance for import or export from/to Poland and what documentation is required in order to transport goods at this moment of time after Brexit.

Customs clearance is mandatory on both sides, also documents T1/T2 are required. T1 is an export document to export the goods outside of UK and T2 is an import document to import the goods into UK.

Customs clearance and document T1/T2 both are prepared per the commercial invoice.

Wiele osób się pyta o odprawy na import badz eksport z/do Polski oraz dokumentacje jaka jest potrzebna na przewożenie towarów w chwili obecnej po Brexicie.

Odprawa celna po obu stronach jest konieczna, oraz dokument T1/T2 jest również wymagany. T1 jest to dokument exportowy na wywóz towarów poza granice Wielkiej Brytanii, a T2 jest to dokument importowy na przywóz towarów do Wielkiej Brytanii.

Odprawa celna oraz dokument T1/T2 są sporzadzane od faktury.
