At Ausden Clark, passing your test is just the beginning, not the end of your training!
We believe thereβs a big difference between qualifying as a coach driver and becoming a confident, capable professional behind the wheel.
Thatβs why every new driver follows a structured induction programme, with ongoing training, guidance and support to help them develop at a pace thatβs right for them.
Itβs not about passing a test, handing someone the keys and sending them straight out on the road. Our drivers build their experience gradually, with regular assessments and honest conversations about their confidence and readiness for the next step. We certainly wouldnβt send a newly qualified driver straight out on European tours without the appropriate preparation.
And the training doesnβt stop once their induction is complete! We continue to invest in our drivers week after week, helping reduce risks and maintain the standards our customers expect.
A huge part of this is the fantastic support from Matt and his team at DTE Training, whose professionalism and dedication help prepare our new drivers for the road ahead.
Weβre equally fortunate to have an experienced team of drivers and staff, many with years of service, who share their knowledge and provide an invaluable support network for new recruits.
We understand the pressures facing the coach industry when recruiting drivers, but safety and competence should never be compromised simply to get someone behind the wheel.
Weβre not running a conveyor belt of newly qualified drivers. Weβre building a team of responsible professionals, because we have a duty of care to our passengers, customers, employees and our reputation.
A massive thank you to everyone involved in developing and supporting our drivers.
Itβs not just about having enough drivers. Itβs about having the right drivers, with the right training, confidence and support.
Thatβs the Ausden Clark way! π©·
