The main focus of Pauhana is to celebrate an evolving cultural practice that pushes the boundaries for diverse arts, culture and heritage. Founded in 2012 by Ben-Azeera Lela, Pauhana means play after work. The company’s aims are to:
Produce and commission new work that educates, entertains and benefits the public
Create opportunities for individuals and communities to participate and engage in cul

turally diverse arts, culture and heritage
Engage with disadvantaged groups, young people and their families and support their skills development through creative stimuli
Deliver immersive visual and performance based artistic experiences, be it outdoor or in response to a stimulus. Pauhana’s directors include:
