🛩️ Big news at Deanland Airfield!
We are absolutely delighted to welcome our latest resident aircraft, and it’s a very special one. Deanland is now home to the first-ever G-registered ICP Savannah S 600kg microlight in the UK.
With its incredible short field performance and rugged design, the Savannah S is the perfect aircraft for flying schools and private owners alike. It is tailor-made for grass-strip aviation.
Want to see it in action? Demonstrations are taking place right here from Deanland EGKL this weekend. Pop down to the airfield near lewes in East Sussex, check out this fantastic new addition to the UK microlight scene, and chat with the team.

Deanland Airfield welcomed 30 Eastbourne College CCF RAF cadets for an afternoon. To really make the visit memorable for the cadets an ex-military Gazelle flew in.

And they’re off! ✈️

After their unexpected visit to Deanland, the tug aircraft arrived to tow our gliding guests back home to Ringmer Gliding Club. A brilliant sight and sound watching the launch and climb out from the airfield.

Not your everyday traffic here at Deanland, but definitely something special to see. Safe travels back to Ringmer and thanks again for stopping by!
