🏗️ BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY HIAB HIRE 🏗️

No Bank Holiday Monday off for us! 💪

Today’s job was about as local as they come — helping a local businessman just one road away from our yard!

Our HIAB was called in to lift and reposition 3 pontoons, 2 large pontoon blocks and one VERY large pond around the site.

With some seriously heavy and awkward items to move, the crane made light work of getting everything lifted and placed exactly where it needed to go. 👌

It’s always great to be working locally and helping another local business — even better when the journey to site takes barely any time at all! 😂

🚛💛 OUR FINAL TRUCK SHOW OF 2026! 💛🚛

We’ve made it to our last truck show of the year and we certainly haven’t travelled light! 😂

This weekend we’re at Alfie’s Truck Show at Newbury Showground, Newbury — a fantastic show raising money for charity. ❤️

We’ve brought along a little selection of the EuroXpress fleet:

🚚 18 tonne removal truck
🚐 2 x 3.5 tonne vans
🚗 And of course, our classic car!

We even managed to put the HIAB to good use while setting up… because apparently parking the Event Truck van next to the HIAB just wasn’t interesting enough! 😂🏗️

After a night at the showground, this morning started the only sensible way — a McDonald’s breakfast 🍳☕️

And while we were there, we picked up breakfast for all four of the security team too. They’ve been here looking after everyone and everything throughout the show, so it was only right they started their morning with a McDonald’s as well. 💛

A brilliant atmosphere, some incredible trucks and all for a great cause.

What a way to finish our 2026 truck show season! 🚛💛

🍕 THE 3-TONNE PIZZA OVEN — PART 2! 🏗️💪

Following on from Part 1… after collecting the pizza oven from the bonded warehouse in Basildon and safely storing it overnight, it was time for an early morning delivery into Guildford.

And this wasn’t simply a case of unloading it and driving away! 😅

Our HIAB lifted the 3-tonne oven from the truck and held it at the correct height while the legs were attached. Once ready, we carefully lowered it to ground level and positioned two of our pallet trucks underneath to support the weight and give us some control when steering it.

Then came the manpower! 💪

At 3 tonnes, getting this beast into the building required the whole team working together. The shop window had been removed to create an opening large enough for the oven, and we laid hardboard to bring the route level with the window frame while also protecting the shop’s tiled floor.

Slowly and carefully, the team pushed and manoeuvred the oven through the opening and into the shop.

Once inside, we positioned the steelwork it was eventually going to sit on and continued manoeuvring the oven through the premises — all while negotiating a large overhead obstruction which made an already tight job that little bit more interesting! 👀

When it came to positioning the oven, the supplied legs didn’t appear to be supporting it as they should. Rather than let that stop the job, our team quickly made up additional wooden supports to assist the legs and keep everything safely supported.

From HIAB lifting and specialist equipment to a LOT of manpower and a bit of on-the-spot problem solving, the 3-tonne oven was finally manoeuvred through the building and into position. 🍕🔥

🍕 A 3-TONNE DELIVERY… PART 1! 🚛🏗️

This one started with a trip up to Basildon, where we were collecting a rather sizeable delivery that had made its way over from Italy 🇮🇹 — a 3-tonne pizza oven! 🍕

The oven was being held at a bonded warehouse ready for us to collect and transport down to Guildford.

With the warehouse team using their forklift to load the oven safely onto our vehicle, we got to work making sure everything was securely strapped and sheeted ready for the journey.

But Guildford wasn’t the next stop just yet…

First, we headed back to our yard where the pizza oven was kept safe and secure overnight, ready for delivery the following day.

And that’s where Part 2 gets a little more interesting… 👀😂

🚛🏗️ WHEN THE SOFA WON’T FIT… SEND IT UP THE OUTSIDE! 🛋️😂

Yesterday we’d finished our removal for the day and were back at the yard doing a few last jobs, just starting to think about heading home… when the phone rang! 📞

A customer had just had their new sofa delivered to their flat — there was only one problem…

It wouldn’t fit through the doors or hallway. 😬

Luckily, they had a balcony… and we had a HIAB! 💪🏗️

Within an hour of receiving the phone call, our team had arrived on site, positioned the lorry, set up the crane and got to work.

Each section of the brand-new sofa was carefully protected using our specialist padded sofa covers, before being securely strapped and carefully lifted from ground level, up to the balcony and safely into the flat.

Once inside, the covers came off, the sofa was put together and the customer could finally enjoy their new purchase! 🛋️🏠

Sometimes the front door just isn’t the best way in! 😂

From awkward access and balconies to heavy or oversized items, our HIAB and experienced removals team can often provide the solution when conventional methods simply won’t work.

🏗️ WHEN A FLATBED LOAD NEEDS A LITTLE EXTRA LIFT… SEND IN THE HIAB! 💪

This time, we were moving a flatbed load of aluminium poles from Littlehampton to Salisbury.

The poles were forklifted onto our vehicle by the company we collected them from, ready for their journey to Salisbury.

Once we arrived at the other end, our HIAB crane took over. We carefully lifted the poles from the flatbed and placed them neatly into separate piles, exactly where they were needed.

Another job completed safely and efficiently using the right equipment for the job. 🙌

And while we were out and about, we also bumped into one of our removal teams at a fuel station. They were heading over to Brighton, after a customer had been let down by another removal company that hadn’t turned up.

Thankfully, our team was on hand to help get the move back on track. 🚛
