Llangollen Railway takes you on a stunning scenic journey through the beautiful Dee Valley between Llangollen and Corwen, using our fleet of heritage steam and diesel locomotives, vintage coaching stock and railcars. Step aboard one of our steam or diesel hauled trains to experience the beautiful Dee Valley! We operate Steam, Diesel, and Heritage Railcar services between the towns of Llangollen and Carrog, we also stop at Berwyn, Glyndyfrdwy and Carrog. All of our charming stations give you access to explore the picturesque Dee Valley. There is a wide variety of walks and attractions nearby, you could even get a bite to eat from our refreshment rooms!

- Llangollen station is located beside the historic Dee Bridge (built in 1345) in the centre of the bustling town.
- Our stunning station at Berwyn is a gateway to the Horseshoe falls - the start point of the Llangollen canal - and has been restored to its 1930s GWR condition.
- Glyndyfrdwy has links to Owain Glyndwr and its station features a traditional level crossing, it's a great place to watch the signalman control the trains!
- Carrog has been lovingly restored to its 1950s condition and boasts a refreshment room and car park.
- Our new station in Corwen will be in the heart of the town, where you can explore the Corwen Museum or the Candle Workshop. Our line follows the River Dee - a Site of Special Scientific Interest - and originally ran from Ruabon to Barmouth. Llangollen Railway offers a sample of the sights and sounds of yesteryear whilst travelling through some of the best natural scenery in North Wales. The Dee Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the views from your carriage are fantastic and ever-changing. It's a lovely morning in the Dee Valley, and we're getting ready for DAY TWO of our Heritage Railcars Gala!

I've caught up with amateur meteorologist Garry Smith MBE and Dr John Joyce from our Railcars Group for a quick weather update and a chat about today's excitement!

🎉 IT'S AN EARLY START AT THE LLANGOLLEN AND CORWEN RAILWAY... BUT FIRST, A BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎂

Before the excitement of today's Heritage Railcars Gala gets underway, we wanted to wish our wonderful weekend chef, Hazel Birkenhead, a very Happy Belated Birthday!

Hazel celebrated her birthday earlier this week, and we couldn't let the occasion pass without giving her a special mention!

She's one of the fantastic people who help make our railway so special, keeping everyone well fed and always playing her part in making our events a success.

🌟 9.30am: A spectacular six-car departure from Llangollen! See our Class 110 Calder Valley, Class 109 Wickham and Class 108 coupled together. The Class 108 will detach at Glyndyfrdwy before the other two continue towards Corwen.

🚆 Class 110 Gala Debut! After countless hours of restoration work by our dedicated volunteers, the magnificent Calder Valley unit takes centre stage!

🏞️ The best views of the Dee Valley! Our heritage railcars have enormous windows, perfect for enjoying the spectacular autumn scenery. Your Gala ticket lets you hop on and off and catch as many trains as you can throughout the day!

🎮 Fancy driving a train? The Class 507 Preservation Society's driving simulator is in the waiting room at Llangollen Station. Just £5 per session, with proceeds supporting both organisations.

🔧 Explore railway history! See our Class 105 Cravens restoration display and traditional railway demonstrations.
