We're pleased to share that Amit Chitnis, Head of World of Ports at Inchcape Shipping Services, will be speaking at the 3rd PCO Network Meeting in Bremerhaven, Germany, from 7 to 9 September 2026.

With reduced rainfall and water inflows linked to the current El Niño event, the Panama Canal Authority has introduced temporary changes to its transit booking system and is adjusting daily transit capacity.

And while the rules may change, the operations continue.

In recent weeks, our team in Panama supported the ANNIKA N, GAS GALA and SUNRISE GLORY during their southbound transits, providing assistance and coordination at Cristobal Bay. Our local team works alongside vessels, customers and other stakeholders on the ground to help navigate the practical side of every call — from preparation through to transit.

Another successful operation at the Port of Miami as CMA CGM INNOVATION completed her port call with the support of our Inchcape Shipping Services team.

Acting as full port agents, our Miami team managed the vessel’s entrance and clearance formalities, coordinating closely with the relevant parties to keep the operation moving efficiently from arrival through completion.

Each port call relies on strong local knowledge, timely coordination, and attention to detail, and our team continues to bring these capabilities together to support our customers and their vessels in Miami.

Inchcape Shipping Services Ecuador proudly supported the MS Crown Princess during her call at the Port of Manta, marking the successful conclusion of the 2025–2026 cruise season.

The vessel arrived with 2,929 passengers and 1,043 crew members, bringing another significant cruise call to Ecuador and closing an important season for the country’s maritime and tourism sectors.

We extend our appreciation to the local and port authorities, terminals, and all stakeholders whose close coordination throughout the season contributed to safe and efficient operations.

A special thank you also goes to our Ecuador team for their dedication and commitment throughout every call.
