Thank you to Tom Boon at Simple Flying for taking the time to talk with James about the true story behind Global. We really appreciate the fair and balanced coverage of this thoughtful article.

As we continue building something special, it's moments like this that keep us motivated on our journey. šŸŒāœˆļø

Global Airlines' CEO, James Asquith, sat down for an exclusive conversation with Simple Flying.

9H-SUN rolling out of the MESA hangar with a stunning new look. We love the blue livery, and from the feedback, it looks like you do too!

Watch to the end! Aviation is always a challenge, but that is half the fun. We have already overcome so much adversity and achieved so much thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team, the great support of our partners and all the fantastic supporters who have been with us from the start.

Here is our Founder James Asquith explaining some of the challenges and the progress that has been made.

Thank you for coming on the journey with us. We have come a long way already and there is much more to come. Stay tuned!

They said we’d never fly, but we fought through every obstacle and we reached the sky.

When you flick through our logbook, it shows a pretty remarkable year for Global Airlines.

We can’t wait to fly again!

Global is in good company in this Simon Calder article about A380s featuring economy seating on the upper deck, alongside the major carriers including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Lufthansa.

Great to see Global featuring once again in The Independent, with a photo of the Global cabin Simon flew in back in May. Simon described his flight as ā€œeasily the most comfortable and fun transatlantic trip I have had. With abundant and tasty food and drink, I’d call it business-class service for an economy fare.ā€

We can’t wait to get you back onboard, Simon!

It has been an honour (and a dream come true for many of our team) to feature as the cover story of Airliner World this August.

Taking to the skies with our first transatlantic passenger flights was another key milestone in Global’s journey. Behind the scenes, we have been working tirelessly to prepare for the next stage, as we continue to transform a vision that many once thought impossible.

The road ahead is about maturing and growing as a company, with both exciting developments and some of the essential, less glamorous steps needed to move to the next phase.

Thank you for all the tremendous support from so many of you. This isn’t easy, and we know how challenging it is, so we will continue to work really hard to hit our next milestones, no matter how impossible they may have seemed to some at the start.

There has been considerable noise since the first passenger flights of 9H-GLOBL took place over the past fortnight. We are truly delighted by the interest and enthusiasm shown by so many people, and we want to thank everyone for being part of this incredible journey.

However, it’s become evident from what we are seeing and reading that some have chosen to spread large amounts of speculation, often presenting it as fact. It’s unfortunate when this happens, as it can be very misleading, and those reading these false claims can get overly excited about things that are simply not true.

With this in mind, we have published an official statement that you can read over on LinkedIn.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to read it, as we hope it will help clarify the facts and provide a clearer understanding of our progress.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us spread the truth - stay tuned for our next (accurate) announcements and to see where we go next (coming soon).

3 June 2025 There has been a lot of noise since the first passenger flights on 9H-GLOBL took place over the last fortnight. We are delighted that so many people have shown so much interest and want to say thank you to all for being part of this journey.

Well, that’s what happened to Dave Andrews*. A little while ago, Dave - perhaps he was in a hurry or having a bad day (we all have them) - remarked very clearly that he’d eat his own hat the day he saw Global fly.

We certainly took his words to heart, and in the spirit of his brilliant and generous prediction, we invited him to fly on our first flight. (Unlucky Dave - he must have been having another bad day because he didn’t show up!) To top it off, we had this wonderful cake baked just for him, it was much yummier than his hat after all. But, again, we couldn’t contact him to come and take a bite.

If you know Dave, please let him know his cake is still here and waiting, and maybe next time, he’ll join us for a slice!

*Names have been changed to protect Dave’s identity, but this really did happen!

Two weeks ago today, our first-owned A380, 9H-GLOBL, was in the sky on its first transatlantic passenger flight to New York, JFK. It was a momentous and exciting day and one that our team will never forget. We've certainly earned some grey hairs along this journey, but reaching this amazing milestone made all the sleepless nights worth it!

A fortnight on, we’re proud to have successfully completed our first flights, a major achievement for any team seeking to break into aviation. The flying experience has been invaluable, offering us insight and momentum as we plan for the future. For now, we’re taking the time to review all the feedback and lessons learned, after which we’ll be ready to share what comes next.

Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to what’s next and to seeing you back in the skies soon!
