Airbus A310 classics at London Heathrow ✈️

A few A310 visitors from Heathrow’s past…

🇱🇧 Middle East Airlines — F-OHLI
Delivered to Wardair Canada as C-GKWD in September 1988. The aircraft later operated with Canadian Airlines, Kuwait Airways as A6-KUD, POL as D-APOP, then joined MEA from 1994 to 2001 as F-OHLI. It later flew with Air India as VT-EVH, Jordan Aviation as JY-JAH, with a brief spell at Ariana Afghan, before being scrapped in 2017.

🇵🇹 TAP Air Portugal — CS-TEJ
Delivered in 1989 and operated with TAP Air Portugal as CS-TEJ until transferring to White in 2008. The airframe was scrapped in 2017.

🇨🇾 Cyprus Airways — 5B-DAQ
Delivered in February 1984 and remained with Cyprus Airways as 5B-DAQ until retirement in October 2003. The airframe was scrapped the following year.

A few classic UK BAe 146 operators:

Dan-Air London — G-BSYS, delivered in June 1992 as G-BUHB. The aircraft remained with Dan-Air until returning to British Aerospace in December 1992.

Jersey European Airways — G-JEAK, originally delivered to Loganair as G-OLCB before joining the JEA fleet in March 1993.

Air UK — G-UKHP, delivered in February 1989 and operated with the airline until 2003.

Boeing 727-230 D-ABKT
Delivered from Boeing in January 1979 and remained with Lufthansa until 1990. After leaving the fleet it later flew with Air Terrex as OK-JGY, before moving to South Africa as ZS-OBO with Comair and later Kulula.com.

Boeing 737-430 D-ABKC
Delivered in July 1992 and operated with Lufthansa until 1997. The 737-400 fleet remained relatively small, with just seven aircraft in service.

Boeing 747-230 D-ABYP
Delivered in March 1979 and flew with Lufthansa until retirement in November 2001. The aircraft later operated with Southern Air as N720SA before eventually being scrapped.

A look back at British Midland at Heathrow with three aircraft from the fleet during the late 1990s.

Boeing 737-36N G-OJTW — delivered in April 1997, now stored since March 2025.

Airbus A320-232 G-MIDZ — delivered in January 1999 and scrapped in 2021.

Airbus A321-231 G-MIDE — delivered in August 1998 and scrapped in 2019.
