The viral Makkah spot is no longer open for filming. 🕋

If you’ve been on Instagram or TikTok recently, you’ve probably seen the famous escalator trend from Makkah Al Mukarramah — the view that became widely recognised with the “Welcome to Makkah Al Mukarramah” audio.
The outdoor escalator near the Masar Destination area became a popular spot for pilgrims and visitors to capture that cinematic Makkah reveal.
However, filming at the location has reportedly been restricted due to crowd movement, congestion and safety considerations.
A reminder that around the Holy City, the safety, comfort and tranquillity of pilgrims come first. 🤍
