I was so sad to read that the wonderful Onion Garden in Seaforth Place behind Westminster City Hall has been forced to close. I really hope they can find a new site. It was a unique and special place https://www.theoniongarden.org/

Join me on Saturday 6th June for two walks exploring the Secrets of Wood Street. Book via link in bio. As part of the Wood Street Festival.
Secrets of Wood Street Part 1 at 11am - On this circular walk which traverses some of the area known at one time as ‘On the Forest’ we will seek out evidence of lost pubs, a lost film studio and a lost mansion. We will walk down a path which dates back several centuries, visit a churchyard with some fascinating stories to tell and find a hidden mural and a hidden garden.

Secrets of Wood Street Part 2 at 2pm - On this circular walk which traverses areas which were once among the poorest in the district we will see evidence of a lost pub, find out the story of Master McGrath, hear about the man known as the fighting parson and see a building saved because of a tree. We will also see the site of a terrible murder from the 1700s.

I have to confess I have got a bit obsessed with the Palace of Pudding which was located within a Salvation Army hostel just off Brick Lane for a couple of Christmasses in the early 1900s. Read more here:

In Quaker Street off Brick Lane in the early 1900s there was once a building known as the Palace of the Pudding.
