If you ever wonder what is the point of a travel advisor this is it: tonight at 11.30pm UK time my honeymoon clients in the Philippines emailed to say their ferry had been cancelled from one island to another because of a typhoon and they were being asked to pay for another hotel night because of the “force majeur” exemption clause all tour operators have in their T&Cs. In 10 minutes I had it sorted out - hotel and ferry rebooked free of charge to the client, day tours rebooked for later in the week. They can enjoy their holiday without extra cost or worry. That’s the point 🥂😅
