SubḥānAllāh...

From so far away, the eye can barely make it out.
But as the camera slowly zooms in, there it is... the Ka’bah. 🕋

The House towards which over a billion hearts turn every single day.

اللَّهُمَّ زِدْ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ تَشْرِيفًا وَتَكْرِيمًا وَمَهَابَةً وَبِرًّا، وَزِدْ مَنْ شَرَّفَهُ وَكَرَّمَهُ مِمَّنْ حَجَّهُ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَهُ تَشْرِيفًا وَتَكْرِيمًا وَتَعْظِيمًا وَبِرًّا.

“O Allah, increase this House in honour, nobility, reverence and righteousness; and increase those who honour and visit it for Hajj or ‘Umrah in honour, nobility, dignity and goodness.”

No matter how many times you see it, the heart never gets tired of looking at it.

May Allah grant us all a return to His Sacred House again and again. Āmīn.

For many pilgrims, Tawaf al-Wada is one of the most emotional moments of the journey.

After days of worship, sacrifice, and remembrance, the time comes to leave Makkah and bid farewell to the House of Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ instructed:

“Let none of you depart until his last act is (Tawaf al Wada) at the House.”
— Sahih Muslim

This is the Farewell Tawaf, the final tawaf before leaving Makkah, performed as a farewell to the Sacred House after completing the rites of Hajj.

For some, it is their first visit.
For others, it may be their last.

And perhaps that is why these final circuits feel different.

One last glance at the Ka’bah.
One last opportunity to make du’a.
One last moment before returning to the routines of life.

May Allah accept the Hajj of every pilgrim, grant them a safe return, and allow us all to stand before His House again.

The Day of Arafah is a day unlike any other in mercy and forgiveness.

“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.” — Sahih Muslim (1348)

It is said that Shaytaan is never seen more humiliated than on this day, seeing the mercy of Allah descend upon His servants.

So do not let these hours pass distracted.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best of supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah”

And here are some beautiful du’as to hold onto on this blessed day:

🌎 For The Best of Both Worlds

رَبَّنَا آيِّنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (2:201)

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhab an-nar.

🤲For A Good Ending

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ أَعْمَالِنَا خَوَاتِمَهَا وَخَيْرَ أَيَّامِنَا يَوْمَ نَلْقَاكَ
Ya Allah, make the best of our deeds the last ones and the best of our days the day we meet You.

Allahumma aj’al khayra malina khawatimaha, wa khayra ayyamina yawma nalqak.

🕌The Prophet’s Du’aa On Arafah

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
There is no deity except Allah, alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise and He has power over all things.

La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.

The Prophet, said this is the best of what he and the prophets before him said. (Tirmidhi)

Make abundant duas on this day and open your heart to Allah. List your needs to Him in any language, because this is the best day to ask Him.

1 - Tawaf al-Umrah (The Tawaf of Umrah)

The tawaf performed as part of Umrah before Hajj.

Required for those performing Hajj al-Tamattu’, and for Qiran pilgrims who combine Umrah and Hajj together.

Not performed separately in Hajj al-Ifrad.

2 - Tawaf al-Qudum (The Arrival Tawaf)

Performed upon entering Makkah while in Ihram for Hajj.

A Sunnah tawaf for pilgrims performing Hajj al-Ifrad and Hajj al-Qiran.

Not required for Hajj al-Tamattu’, since the pilgrim already performs Tawaf al-Umrah upon arrival.

3 - Tawaf al-Ifadah (The Tawaf of Hajj)

Also known as:
Tawaf al-Ziyarah

Performed after the rites of the 10th of Dhul Hijjah.

This is an essential pillar of Hajj for all three types of Hajj. Without it, the Hajj is incomplete and not valid.

4 - Tawaf al-Nafl (The Voluntary Tawaf)

Any additional tawaf performed beyond the obligatory tawafs.

A voluntary act of worship with great reward, performed simply to draw closer to Allah.

And for those remaining in Makkah, voluntary tawaf may still be performed before the Farewell Tawaf, which should be the final tawaf before leaving.

5 - Tawaf al-Wada (The Farewell Tawaf)

The final tawaf before departing from Makkah.

A farewell to the Sacred House after completing the journey of Hajj.

Obligatory for pilgrims before leaving Makkah, except for women excused due to menstruation.

For centuries, the journey to Hajj looked very different.

Some crossed deserts by camel caravan.
Others sailed across the seas guided by the winds and stars.
Later came steamships, motor vehicles, and eventually flights carrying millions across continents.

The roads changed with time.
The journey became faster, safer, and more accessible.

But the destination never changed.

Makkah remained the same sacred call that hearts longed for across every generation.

And perhaps that is the beauty of this journey.

No matter where a pilgrim comes from, or how they arrive, every path leads back to the same House built for the worship of Allah.

From caravans to clouds, the journey evolved.
But the longing for Makkah remained the same.

Arrival into Makkah 🕋

Alhamdulillah, our pilgrims have arrived safely at Makkah train station and are now making their way to the hotel at Holiday Inn Makkah Al Aziziyah.

The journey has officially begun.
From the station to the hotel, every step brings us closer to the blessed days of Hajj.

May Allah make this journey easy, accepted and filled with barakah for all our Hujjaj. Ameen.
